Beautiful cottage, nicely appointed. A bit far from amenities, but ideal for a quite break. WiFi signal good. Mobile signal not so good. Not really a criticism, but it's worth knowing. Unfortunately, the local pub/restaurant was a walk on a footpath across some fields. Not ideal when you have your glad-rags on!

A lovely relaxing place to stay and a very accommodating, friendly yet non-intrusive owner. Comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen and clean bathrooms. Sitting room slightly dusty but in fairness, log burner creates dust. Plenty of piping hot water to clean off after a days walking. Sofas although lovely to look at and comfortable enough with plenty of cushions to lounge on could not just be sat on. Could have done with a vacuum cleaner to keep the dog hairs down. Our small white-haired and moulting dog meant everywhere covered in hairs very quickly. Truly lovely and comfortable place to stay for a week. Log burner fantastic. Views stunning.

Lovely place - quiet and peaceful location. Is a very rural so for anyone wanting bright lights of an evening it wouldn't be suitable. We found the accommodation very good - high quality kitchen appliances. The reason for lower marking were the sofas - very low and very deep seats. People did struggle to get out of them. Place was immaculate throughout. Lovely homemade cake on arrival - thank you. Bit disappointed with a note in the bedrooms saying dogs shouldn't be allowed in the rooms when you pay for a dog to stay there. Everything on the one level so was ideal for older party members - except the sofa. But we had a fantastic week. People at the site were very helpful and friendly. Was a lovely quiet and relaxing week away.

This property is very new, clean, warm and tidy, and very well supplied with cooking utensils and other amenities. The beds are comfortable. It is in a very quiet and peaceful position at the end of a country lane which is seemingly used more by horses and dog walkers than vehicles. We used it as a centre for driving to some of the many National Trust/English Heritage in East and West Sussex, and for this it suited very well. Our only reservation concerned the partially-obscured glass door on the bathroom, and with the skylight in the en-suite shower, which made the bedroom quite light at night even with the blind down.

We loved the cottage and it was very well equipped . Everything worked and we would have given a 10 - except for the sofas! One large , deep , low and saggy sofa is not too bad if there are other seats available , but when there is no alternative it made it almost impossible to sit comfortably and relax in the evenings. The beds on the other hand were very comfy!
