Beautiful barn. More spacious that it looks on pictures. We had a cake, bottle of red and some flowers to welcome us which I think was very thoughtful. We have visited in February and were very lucky with the sunny day to enjoy a coffee and cake in the garden with beautiful views. The barn is very well equipped with everything you might need during your stay. We wish we stayed longer.

We had a very warm welcome with lots of lovely welcoming extras - flowers, wine, homemade apple juice and cake. The barn is very spacious, comfortable and warm; we only used the log burner one evening as it made the barn too hot! Lots of ground to walk the dog and even the convenience of a poo bin in the road opposite! Great butchers, well stocked local store and dog friendly pub where our dog was spoilt rotten. Lots of interesting places to visit. We look forward to returning, hopefully in the Spring when the orchard is in bloom and we can get to visit Sissinghurst.

My wife and I spent a wonderful week at Mount House Barn in early October. The attention to detail during the original conversion coupled with the many thoughtful extras, (a bottle of wine which I enjoyed, a sponge cake which was well received by my wife and a range of toiletries in the bathroom which would put many a five star hotel to shame), made it an ideal base while investigating the local area. We were lucky with the weather allowing us to enjoy the south facing rear garden which afforded beautiful views across the valley. The barn is well located just off the main street in Burwash, a typical Sussex village with the added bonus of having a couple of shops, pubs, (food at the Rose and Crown was good) and a petrol station, while there were several walks nearby, especially useful as we had our dog with us. Our only regrets are that the nights were not cold enough to give us an excuse to light the log burner and that we could not stay longer. We look forward to our next visit.

An excellent detached barn in a beautiful part of the country. Masses of things to do and visit locally - owners could not have been more helpful in local knowledge and their hospitality. You would not be disappointed in choosing this property!

Excellent place to stay! One of the best we've been to.

Idyllic location. Barn very well equipped. Very welcoming owners. Only drawback was the fact that the bedrooms were very hot (and the weather wasn't too hot when we were there). The owners thoughtfully provided fans but, if it was hot in the summer, sleeping would be very uncomfortable.
