This was a lovely cottage with those touches you really appreciate like tea and biscuits when you arrive, loads of books and board games, warm, trouble free gallons of hot water and plenty of kitchen equipment and pots and pans. Really really thoughtful owners. My favourite bit about the cottage was a lounge with a big patio door overlooking the river and Ben Nevis as well as a very busy bird table in the garden. Really pleased to see such a variety of birds and impressed that the owner must fill up the dispensers every week!

Lovely views onto the loch and Ben Nevis. Great walk into Fort William along the river. Friendly owner. comfortable sitting room. I had a problem with the bed in the master bedroom however, although I seem to be the only one! I have intermittent problems with my back and the bed set me back a bit. One gripe I have, and this is with all holiday cottages, is not being able to leave dogs unattended. I imagine this is to do with damage, but there should be some deposit scheme etc. It curtails our enjoyment as not able to go out to restaurants etc. in the evening. Our dogs are better behaved when we're out as they just sleep!! Overall, the location was great and there was plenty of equipment so we enjoyed our stay. I probably wouldn't go back however, unless the bed was changed but that's just a personal issue. Otherwise, I would recommend it.
