I was very disappointed I was expecting luxury when we arrived after searching for a while it looked like we were turning into a farmyard however the cottage was down an overgrown track. The letter box was falling off the door we didn't report this however a handyman came to fix this on our leaving day. On arrival the floor was gritty so we had to keep our shoes on downstairs. The upstairs was beautiful and what I'd expected. The little village the cottage was in was lovely with a nice pub however it closed in the afternoon like most pubs in the area. It was too far for us to walk to sandsend as well with a 1 yr old so we had to take the car everywhere. We did have a lovely time however I expected perfection for the amount we paid. I have stayed in nicer places for a lot less money.

No not at all it was over priced for what it was. . Plus I would seriously consider another cleaner. Say No more.

Staying at this cottage did not spoil our holiday - but we would not stay at this cottage again. There are positives - the lounge is very cosy and comfortable, and the double bed provided a good night sleep. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog - beagle aged 10 years. Perfect location with lovely walks from the door and just a short drive. We have stayed in many cottages over the years and I would comment that what this cottage lacked was an attention to detail - and we have come to expect attention to detail no matter what price you are paying for a cottage to provide value for money. This cottage did not reflect value for money. Negatives: Garden furniture - falling to bits and in fact broke when I sat on one of the benches (this had already been commented on - in a previous review. Front and back door had seen better days and either could do with a make over or replacement. Cabinet door in bathroom would not close. Bathroom door would not close without using the lock Shower leaks and floor requires a mop after use. Blind in bathroom - black with mould Garden light did not work at all times My husband had to hold the toilet seat up (in main bathroom)when using the toilet Dining chairs could do with cushions - very uncomfortable Utility as described in the cottage detail - is in fact an outside shed where the tumble drier is on top of the washing machine. Shed door was difficult to open. Laundry basket not supplied

Moor view is a lovely cottage in a great location. We had a lovely week. Howeverthe cottage needed a really good clean. The garden furniture needs replacing as it was rotten and falling to bits. The grass also needed cutting.
