This Georgian, listed, detached country house offers beautifully presented and spacious accommodation and benefits from a large indoor heated swimming pool, and is situated within the owners’ private estate with river and woodland walks direct from the door. Nestled in the heart of Burns’ Country, and close to the village of Alloway, the area is steeped in tradition and history. Fans of Burns will be able to visit many attractions including Burns Cottage, the Burns Memorial Museum and the Brig o’Doon - the bridge from the famous poem Tam o’Shanter.
Ayrshire is home to the Ayrshire Coastal Path, a 100-mile long coastal walk with one of the finest panoramic coastlines in the British Isles. Crowned with a superb backdrop of the ever-changing profile of the mountains of Arran across the Firth of Clyde, this coastline is teeming with wildlife, including red squirrels, deer, otters and seals. Inland, there are gardens and castles to visit and activities such as riding and racing. The many golf courses include the world famous Turnberry Course which is close at hand and also has a fantastic spa and outdoor centre. Culzean Castle (owned by the National Trust for Scotland) is spectacular and is Ayrshire’s most popular tourist attraction.
Day trips to Ireland can be taken from Cairnryan, and a short drive leads to Ayr, a traditional seaside town. Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh are perfect for a day out, as is Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, with ferry links to the islands of Arran, Bute and Cumbrae all within easy reach. We booked this house for the whole family so the overall price turned out very reasonable for a house of this standard. Initial first impressions when we arrived were WOW!!! It is even better than the images on the website. As we arrived we were greeted by the owner who was very pleasant and welcoming, and we were shown around. The dining room was a fantastic room to have a family meal in, I felt like lady of the manor. The kids were never out of the pool area which was great being a few yards from the back of the house and just for our use only. The grounds surrounding the house are fantastic for walks with the kids and are very well maintained. The surrounding areas around ayr have plenty to do for children and it has a beautiful coastline with parks and some good restaurants, and the Isle of arran is well worth a visit too. We have no complaints about this house and we all had a fantastic holiday here. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you x

Pure bliss! We would highly recommend this property & what amazing history comes with it! The owners could not have been more accommodating, displaying just the right amount of care whilst being very informal. The inside photographs do not do the property justice. A couple of tiny niggles if one was being really picky eg: only 1 kettle & the oven/cooking hob, whilst manageable for a party of 14, would have been better suited to smaller parties. However this is no way impeded the overall enjoyment of the property which equally suited all three generations of our family.
