Fantastic stay, quiet and private location, but no wifi and poor signal. Good facilities and huge kitchen, dishwasher did not work very well though. Overall great value for money and peaceful place to stay with plenty of room.

It was a great place but there were a few hitches , there was no heating therefore no hot water the was sorted out promptly thought. And the oven must not have been clean as when we cooked something it was smoking, and when we used the hob there was a sticky substance on the bottom so we had to clean it before we could use it again.

Really nice time relaxing - good to be able to get away from it all, including the lack of wifi. Underfloor heating was a plus, and the great size dining table and lounge made for a really enjoyable week.

This was an amazing place to stay. The rooms were lovely. We enjoyed sitting around in the kitchen drinking tea and catching up. Very well equipped. Perfect location for us too.

The cottage was lovely. However, there were a few issues with kitchen equipment that other guests have mentioned and yet, new equipment has not been bought. The dishwasher was not working correctly (also mentioned by another guest) and this meant that a lot of crockery and cutlery was dirty. The location was lovely although a good 20 minutes drive to places. The decoration of the cottage was nice and it was perfect for a large number of people. We went with three families and there was plenty of room! Value for money was fantastic and the enclosed garden great for children. I would recommend the cottage although feel there are some improvements to be made.

Monks Barn was a lovely property although it is in need of some remedial works as it is starting to look tired in places. Very spacious and comfortable but lacking in some basic kitchen equipment. It would also be good if some grab rails could be installed at the doors and in the showers/bathrooms to assist elderly visitors. No wifi which does make planning days out quite difficult.

The perfect venue for us for three night's stay as we had a wedding at Langley Abbey on the Saturday. 5 comfortable bedrooms - a great meet up with other friends. Only way it could be improved is to provide wi fi.

We stayed at Monks Barn as a group of three families and found there to be plenty of room. The garden was fantastic for little ones and was very safe and enclosed. We had a few problems with the boiler and the maintenance team came out within 20 minutes to repair it which again was fantastic. The location was lovely and peaceful and we'd love to return again.

Monks Barn is an ideal place for a large family get together. The enclosed courtyard with grass and stones is safe for younger children. Unfortunately the owners do not seem to take any notice of issues raised by visitors. The broken toilet seat had been mentioned by several people, but my Husband had to mend it. The equipment in the kitchen was haphazard and some things were broken. However, we enjoyed our stay, and even managed the week with minimum Wi-Fi!

we all had a fabulous time and didnt want to come home,we could have just moved in! it was so homely and comfortable and the property is just beautiful. the kids loved the hallways for running around and the garden was big enough for all four to play even with the 3 cars on thr driveway. It was nice knowing it was all enclosed so younger children were safe. We loved the fact there was no wifi so maybe some current up to date brochures may be handy, luckily we did all of our research prior to our holiday. The location is perfect, peaceful yet close enough to so ,so many tourist attractions which suit all ages. The village of Loddon is lovely witha pretty little quay type area near the local shops and pubs. everything you need is right there plus a handy tip from the owner of the cottage helped us out- we ordered a tesco delivery for when we arrived at the cottage! Absolutely perfect place for a holiday, couldnt have asked for anymore.

The barn itself was very spacious and well equipped. Plenty of room for the kids to run around in! Its all on one level which 2as idwal for my crawling baby and also my great grandad. It has a lovely enclosed garden and plenty of room for cars. The barn is up a small track so very quiet, no traffic, which was lovely but did mean you had to get in car to go anywhere. We had a lovely family get together here and would recommend.
