Stiffkey is a beautiful village. Mole Cottage is in a very peaceful location, with footpaths and wonderful views nearby. The village pub was warm and welcoming with a delicious looking menu. Unfortunately the fourth bedroom and shower room (downstairs) were unusable due to a damp problem.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner:- Thank you for your comments and in response I have had a damp survey undertaken on this area of the house. The outcome of which was that fortunately NO damp was coming through the walls, floor or ceiling. I was advised that the windows should be regularly opened or as required (we are in the process of installing an automated fan to avoid having to do this) and damp towels left to dry in the utility room. The shower room is, by its very nature, prone to feel damp at times but there is an extractor fan in there synchronised to come on with the lights. Please feel free to leave the lights (fan) on for a period and the door ajar if it feels damp.

Lovely cottage with ideal facilities. Hot tub was used quite a lot. The cottage was very comfortable. The beach is not too far away and the local shop is quite handy. We have been before and have no complaints.

This is our second time at mole cottage it was lovely again. Everything is as you would want in your holiday home. The garden and hot tub and location are fantastic. unfortunately the family room was a damp, it was very clean looking there is a dehumidifier in the room but it needs some work to actually address the issue not just try to poorly control it. Thanks very much for making our holiday.

The garden and hot tub were great. Kitchen well stocked and good space in the dining area. Musty smell in some of the rooms and needs some updating. Bathroom upstairs small but shower good. The local shop and pub bit pricey but worth visiting. Wells has a great beach and there is a dog friendly beach too, I would also recommend the boat trip to see the seals. Stiffkey marshes short walk from cottage and is great, esp with dogs

We spent a lovely week in this delightful cottage. The hot tub was a great experience and enjoyed by all. Spacious accommodation although it wouldn't suit five couples as the annexe is a family room which sleeps four. There is plenty to do in the area and lots of lovely eateries within easy reach. We would definitely come back again.

The place was lovely and location was perfect. However i feel the cottage could be a lot cleaner and i think it needs to be de cluttered a bit and maybe update furniture

We had a lovely week at Mole Cottage. Very good facility & spacious, we like the annex, the garden and the especially the hot tub. The washing machine & tumble dryer is useful. If we have to find any area which needs slight improvement, it will be main bathroom.

The house is in a great location and the garden is fab and kept our dogs safe. Plenty of parking and the hot tub was a great addition to the holiday. The Red Lion pub served fantastic food! The big downside to the property is the cleanliness, it was not clean and we had to thoroughly clean the bathrooms and kitchen before we felt comfortable using them. The bathrooms and some places in the house could do with a general update and facilities and utensils in the kitchen need updating, there were a lot of cracked and broken glasses in the cupboard, no champagne glasses and a limited choice of decent glasses and old cooking equipment. Due to these negatives we wouldn't book here again or recommend.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. The kitchen and bathroom cleaning has been increased by an hour for every changeover. Big revamp... New plates, glasses, pots and pans, utensils, microwave, toaster, roasting tins, rugs / mats and curtains, waste bins, wardrobe, flat screen TV/DVD, toilet seat and hot tub cover on order.

We were pleasantly surprised by Mole Cottage after reading some negative reviews. It was the perfect place for our group, lovely size, quiet location, plenty of space for four of us, I think ten adults might find it very cosy! Great off road parking for several vehicles, very comfortable lounge for relaxing in the evening. Fabulous hot tub, which sadly we only used once (it was wet and windy in the evenings when we were there). Good selection of up to date films to watch, so quite a lot of attention to detail. Whilst not wanting to be negative, all our party felt that the kitchen pots and pans were a little tired and a little spring clean would not go amiss, but this did not detract from a very enjoyable experience, and I would recommend the cottage to friends and family

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; So pleased you enjoyed the cottage, location, DVDs and off road parking. Kitchen pots and pans have been replaced, deep clean done and upstairs / downstairs carpets cleaned. The Patio lounge can seat 10 but 8 is more comfortable. There is also a family room which has more seating, a DVD / Freesat TV, board games etc. and great for children or adults to escape to.
