The charming owners live in the adjoining house with their three children. The property has been furnished with modern, quality furniture but keeping the traditional stone walls and the interior is fresh, with a south facing exterior, and the pool is enclosed on three sides by old walls. Only five minutes away is the pretty town of Cognac, with daily morning market and boat trips on the river. Angoulême has a large lake for sailing and waterskiing and the coast and pretty seaside resort of Royan are just one hour’s drive away. Nearby sports facilities include golf, tennis, canoeing and a horse riding centre.
