Description

The cathedral cities of Hereford and Worcester, and the Cotswolds are within easy reach, with excellent riding and golf nearby.

These three comfortable properties nestle in the Herefordshire countryside, amongst a cluster of farm buildings. The Chaff House (ref RD9) is all on one level with easy access, and The Oast House (ref RE1) lies above set over the first and second floors of the former 19th-century oast house, which has been fully converted to provide exceptionally attractive accommodation. The Coach House (ref UKC499) is charmingly comfortable with lots of character, offering excellent accommodation to enjoy the surrounding areas. The kitchen/dining area with oak fitted units can offer seating for twelve people for dining and can be booked with the Oast House.
All three properties lie on a working farm, with 3 acres of shared natural grounds and 135 acres of farmland. Close by is the historic market town of Bromyard, Herefordshire’s most unspoilt market town with many independent shops, pubs and cafés, and home to an array of festivals and interesting events during the year. The Bromyard Downs and Bringsty Common offer wonderful open countryside and great walking. The popular Downs and the National Trust’s Brockhampton Court are within easy reach. There are many historical places of interest such as museums, churches and gardens. Hereford with its cathedral and Mappa Mundi Centre, Malvern, Ludlow and Worcester are just a short drive. A wonderful week spent in a beautiful, picturesque part of the country. The Oast House is a perfect base to explore the area. It has everything needed to enjoy your stay (including scones and jam on arrival) and is comfortable and very well equipped. A very warm, friendly and informative welcome from Sally gets your holiday off to a great start and being on a working farm means there is always something going on of interest, particularly for small children. All in all would highly recommend the Oast House and would use it again on any future visits to the area. Thanks Sally for providing such great accommodation.

We (5 ladies and 2 puppies) had a super, relaxed weekend in the Oast House where Sally had thought of absolutely everything, even scones and jam on arrival. The location was beautiful, just the right place for “time out with friends”.

Really beautifully converted and furnished holiday accommodation. The kitchen was extremely well equipped which meant I could do some baking - the set of scales was a bonus! The hosts were extremely helpful and eager to suggest places to visit. The children enjoyed being shown the cows and chatting to the farmers about what they do. Location was excellent for visiting the hills and surrounding towns. Great property on a lovely farm, would happily recommend.

What a Fab Place to stay, As a Family of 7, The Oast House was Plenty Big enough with everything required for our Family. The Owner was welcoming and the Farm is a Lovely Setting. The Pictures do not do this place Justice - A Wonderful Set up. If their was one Issue.... You need at least one Big Mug for LARGE cups of Tea!!!!! :) I had to make the wife Two cups every night.... Location was just right, in the country side but close enough to go to big cities if you like them (we do)... Would be very happy to stay again. Thank you...

We really enjoyed our stay at the Oast House. Being welcomed with freshly baked scones, tea and milk was a delight. Lovely hosts at the farm and total privacy. Our group was made up of 4 children (aged 2-6 years) and 2 adults.

A super place to stay approached by a private drive so very quiet, we had 3 cars with us - plenty of parking available. Beautiful surroundings on the edge of a working farm with traditional farm buildings - quiet and peaceful surroundings with lovely natural surroundings. The Plough inn was just down the round good food, good prices and very welcoming. We had tea, coffee, sugar milk and very tasty homemade jam and scones waiting for us on arrival much appreciated after a long journey from Lands End. We were attending a family wedding so it was a short stay with little time to explore I think we will have to return to see more. We were a party of 5 adults plenty of space in the Oast House for us all the way it has been converted made it feel very light and airy. I can thoroughly recommend it! The local taxi service we used were very good value our driver Ray made the 18 mile journey to and from th wedding very interesting a mine of information

This was a lovely place to stay. I had a fabulous welcome (homemade scones and homemade jam after a long journey, together with the makings for hot drinks were all really welcome, and the friendliness of the owner's mother was a highlight for my stay). It is a beautiful conversion, and sits well within the working farm environment. The owner also made me feel very much at home, and it was a great base for re-exploring Herefordshire. To wake in the morning to the dawn chorus was a luxury!
