With lovely sea views overlooking Pendeen Watch lighthouse, this delightful converted barn is just off the coastal path on the edge of the village which lies between St Just and St Ives. The cosy detached accommodation benefits from slate floor with underfloor heating, stable door to living room, high spec kitchen/dining room with bi-fold doors to the well-stocked patio garden with raised beds, sitting area, barbecue and sea views. Nearby are the sandy beaches of Portherras Cove, Sennen, the mining heritage at Geevor Tin Mine, Lands End, Tate Gallery at St Ives, and Penzance. The TV series of ’Poldark’ was filmed locallyl. The local village has a pub and shop, with easy access to the rugged local coastline. Shop ¼ mile. Two pubs and cafe in the village.

    Fantastic location needs to be cleaned for the next people had to clean the kitchen cupboards and the pillow cases had blood on the underside which was not very nice

    A near perfect break. Only negatives are: there was somebody else's washing left in tumble drier and the car parking area was often fully occupied (plenty of space further up the road). We would definitely stay again

    For me this was going back in time as my aunt rented this property 1980-1984 and she passed away last year. The mini barn has doubled in size since my childhood holidays - someone has good taste or an interior designer! Fabulous Shower - I want one now at home!! Comfy bed... love the touch lamps and the Art !! If they want to sell the John Miller - I'm interested .. just gorgeous - loved it as a child and now telling my friends to visit... Lower Boscaswell is really out in the sticks but on a clear day you can see the Pendeen Lighthouse and it's really secluded and cosy and Romantic. We are at the North Inn and had a Red Star Chinese takeaway. The village shop people are lovely - Only gripe was parking as some nights had to park a bit awry and was concerned at upsetting the locals. Tv worked well, used grill for toast, used washing machine as we got soaked and muddy on one day. Watched the birds from the tri folding kitchen doors. Didn't want to come home !!! Lovely reminiscing- left some 'blurry' (126 camera) photos and a framed picture of the area for the owner. Definitely I want to go back.

    This little cottage is absolutely stunning. It has been refurbished to an incredibly high standard and provides luxury accommodation. We hope to return in the summer 2018. Loved it so much.

    Second car to have been damaged at this property since October!?! Upon arrival at this cottage we where impressed with the property and the high spec in which it had been fitted out. The location was nice but the lead up to it and the estate that it is on the edge of is certainly not pretty but the southern side of the property out to the Cornish cliffs makes up for this. Our holiday was going swimmingly until the second morning when I went out to my car in the area we are told to park and I immediately noticed a large dent in the wing. Upon initial inspection I thought it had been done by another car and questioned a neighbour but on further inspection and after having it looked at you can clearly see the car had been hit with something else as it wasn't just a dent it also had deep scratches in the wing. I checked the reviews once again for this property and to my horror I missed a glaring issue from a guest who stayed in October who had also sadly had his car completely keyed causing thousands of pounds in damage. This guest also had nasty notes left on his car telling him not to park there so there is obviously an issue in this area with disgruntled neighbours who have their own means of parking control! I did speak to cottages.com and asked if we could check out and get a refund for our last three nights so we could check in elsewhere, they did speak to the owner but he owner was unwilling to do this and I was told he stated it was beyond his control. I totally disagree as if you have already had an incident of criminal damage and threatening notes left on cars why would you continue to tell your guests to park there knowing it is unsafe? It is written in your guest book, on your reviews and the police have now had two incidents reported here? after speaking to the neighbours they also confirmed this parking innthis area is a contentious issue and there has been disputes and damage caused to other vehicles in the past. We did continue our stay at the cottage as I managed to arrange parking in a driveway of an empty property for the rest of the week. Sadly I would not recommend staying here until the owner had addressed the parking issue for his guests. I am now over £500 out of pocket for damage and sadly this ruined our week away. This cottage is a lovely place and in the ideal location, I do feel sorry for the owners as it is clear they take pride in their cottage but they also need to take responsibility to address this serious issue to ensure their guests enjoy their stay.
