Lovely cottage very tastefully decorated and furnished. Cleanliness was good except for the oven which we had to clean ourselves before using. Given the village has no pubs or takeaways, cooking was essential so disappointed that we had to clean the oven before we could use it. Location is good for walkers but the nearest recommended pub is a 5 mile walk away but well worth a visit, The Grouse Inn at Carrog.

This cottage was great, lovely location, well kept and resourced and caretaker and owner very helpful when spoken to on phone to arrange key collection and have a tour. Well located to lots of the great activities you can do in North Wales. Great value, great cottage, great holiday....we will be back

A nice house with plenty of interior space. Lots of little things within the property needing upgrading to make it worth the cost of the rental. It was advertised as a luxury property, but the only thing that was luxurious was the building itself. The handover (beginning and end) wasn't very smooth, and it seems that communication isn't great between the owner and the caretaker. I hate to score it so poorly, because the property holds such promise. Great if you want quiet (wifi available, but no mobile reception) and out-of-the-way (the area is lovely). No outside amenities attached to the property (apart from a parking space that was also used by people wanting to access the stream). It didn't ruin our holiday, but there are other far more luxurious properties available for better pricing.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner: Elizabeth, thank you for your comments which we take very seriously. Apologies if things were not quite to the standard you expected. We are taking steps to upgrade and re-fresh the interior of the property to better reflect the luxurious status and hope that is you decide to come back in the future you will be very pleasantly surprised. I am pleased it did not spoil your holiday and you managed to enjoy all the other benefits of staying at the mill. I hope we get the chance in the future to show your the improvement. Much appreciated Robert.
