Lovely cottage, peaceful location. One slight negative - one of the matresses in the cabin bed wasn't too comfortable and may need replacing (springs could be felt). We would definitely go back.

A very comfortable and well equipped cottage with a lovely log burning stove. Prospective visitors should be aware contrary to what is stated on the website that there is no parking permitted on the road outside between April and September. However there are two free car parks within easy walking distance.

Very good location for exploring the area. Lack of parking meant a short walk but there is no space for a car in those narrow roads. Slight problem with back and front door locks (they are a bit old) but property had everything we needed. Had a very enjoyable week. Handy having the train request stop in the village too.

Lovely rural/costal location - quiet and friendly. Shingle beach with some bits of sand; rock pools; places to walk; sandy beach at Fairborne only 10 minutes drive away. Not for you if you're looking for night-life etc! We were in the cottage in April, which isn't a particularly warm time of year. The overnight storage heaters meant that the cottage wasn't cold, and we used both the small portable electric heater and the wood-burning stove in the front room. Good kitchen and good equipment (an acid test is that the tin-opener worked - they often don't!) Beds comfortable. Nice, recently done bathroom with good shower. Fits 6 adults. We'd definitely stay again
