Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Enjoy a family seaside holiday at this spacious, detached cottage, which lies just ½ mile from the beach, shops and pub.

Boasting spacious, light accommodation, Mill Haven has been furnished and decorated to a very good standard with home from home comforts. This detached holiday cottage stands proud on a hillside overlooking the village of East Runton. Situated on the North Norfolk Coast, this popular holiday village has amazing cliff top views and a long sandy beach, popular with families and surfers. There is a designated footpath on the doorstep, with circular routes and coastal paths adjoining. The beach and village centre with a variety of shops, two pubs, 9-hole golf course and village greens, are within walking distance.

The traditional seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer are located a little further along the coast. Both offer a selection of independent shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs and golf courses. Cromer, 2 miles, is famous for its pier with live entertainment (seasonal), and Sheringham, 3½ miles, is home to Splash Leisure and Fitness Centre, and the North Norfolk Steam Railway which visits Weybourne and Holt. There are frequent bus and train services to Cromer, Sheringham and Norwich from the village. RSPB Nature Reserves, stately homes, parks and historical places of interest are all within easy reach. Other places to visit include Blakeney Quay, 13 miles, the pretty historic market town of Holt, 9½ miles, and the city of Norwich, 24 miles, with its excellent shopping, market square, cafés, restaurants, castle museum, theatre and cathedral. Beach ½ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Lovely cottage well equipped and bright situated in quiet lane, with nice garden. Within easy walking distance of main coast road where buses to anywhere along the coast can be caught so no need to use car if you do not wish to. Would return again.

A nice cosey "cottage" up a very narrow but quiet lane. Be aware there is no shaving power point in the property. A few things needed attention that you can note in the comments book for their attention to fix. Some had been mentioned previously and still not fixed. Thought it was expensive for what it was but we did go in school holidays. All in all we had a lovely stay. Be aware that the agency does not mention, however, that this is right next to the railway line which backs on to the garden. You cannot see the line and there are not many trains that pass though. It wasn't a massive issue but it would have been nice to know in advance.

This is a lovely house where we enjoyed a very relaxing week. It was spotlessly clean (and we're fussy!). The totally secluded garden was very pretty and colourful. Yes, you can hear the trains but they are only 2 carriages long so are passed in 2 seconds and they don't run during the night, we didn't find them a problem. We thought we had a problem with the Wifi and the owner was very helpful in trying to sort it out but, in the end, we realised it was our fault! Would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable, airy, spacious feel. We had a lovely time. Pretty garden with sitting out space if the weather allows!

The cottage was very comfortable and had everything that we needed for 2 weeks. The garden was very nice too. We enjoyed watching the birds.

Mill Haven is a well equipped, very comfortable cottage. Let down a little by the standard of cleanliness, for example, the view from the beautiful big window was marred by the amount of bird poo and generally dirty. I marked it down on the location because the train tracks are right next to the property but this was not mentioned anywhere. A small welcome pack would be most welcome, just so we don't have to go straight out again as soon as we arrive, to get milk and bread. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Mill Haven. Thank you.

Really nice bright and airy cottage with nice garden to relax in, a welcome tray would have been nice and a few cups and saucer,s, but that said we really enjoyed our stay.
