In a superb, secluded setting by the seashore, with its own pebble beach just 50 yards away, this single-storey cottage is surrounded by a wonderfully rugged coastline, with a view of Clew Bay from the patio. Set on the owner’s working farm, it is beautifully furnished, with great attention to detail and its own garden. It is set on the Wild Atlantic Way, close to the beautiful beach at Old Head with Croagh Patrick as a backdrop. There are miles of beautiful, quiet country road walks, many along the coastal route. The Greenway cycle/walking route starts in Westport and continues all the way to Achill. Within 1½ miles there is a choice of lovely sandy beaches, perfect for surfing, and there are daily ferries out to Clare Island from nearby Roonagh Quay. The village of Louisburgh (1 mile) offers excellent pubs and a good restaurant. Westport, 14 miles, is a town of picture-postcard prettiness, with a small zoo, lake and park as well as a heritage centre dealing with local history. Sea angling can be arranged from here, as can salmon fishing and boat hire.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. 3 bedrooms: 2 double, 1 twin. Shower room with toilet.

Multi-fuel burner in living room (initial fuel included). Oil central heating and electricity by meter reading. Bed linen and towels included. Cot. High chair. Satellite TV. DVD. Microwave. Washer/dryer. Dishwasher. Partially fenced garden with furniture. Parking (2 cars).

We loved our week here. Louisburgh, Murrisk, Old Head Beach and the wilder beaches further west all within easy reach. Owners friendly and helpful. Lovely garden with amazing view of Clew Bay.

Idyllic setting and a fine sized dwelling. Lots to do in the wider area, need a car to get around as its well in off the main road.

Very warm welcome from owners. Welcome pack. The owners were just over the road if we needed them but they didn't intrude on our holiday. The view down to the sea could not be bettered. Lovely location spacious cottage with everything you could want.

We spent a lovely week at Mill Cottage, enjoying the peace and quiet overlooking Clew Bay. The cottage has a lovely view down to a rocky cove on the southern shore of the bay. The living room/kitchen area is spacious and well equipped with all basic requirements to enjoy a week away from the hustle and bustle of work. It was ideal for us as we enjoyed being able to walk from the door - when the weather allowed - or stayed and looked at the view watching the weather pass over - in front of the peat fuelled multi-fuel burner. Would love to visit again.

We spent a wonderful week in this cottage - lovely location (1/2 hour walk to the village with all amenities). Location was excellent overlooking Clew Bay and Achill Island being on the Wild Atlantic Way. Welcoming pack was good. Host very helpful. Nothing lacking in the cottage. Plenty of room, very comfortable. Would be happy to return any time.
