Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

With fine furnishings and a home-from-home feel, Mill Cottage offers fantastic holiday accommodation for exploring York or for relaxing with your feet up.

Mill Cottage is a delightful detached property, furnished and decorated to a very good standard and offering ideal accommodation for those who enjoy holidays in the country. A south facing garden room to the side provides the entrance, and overlooks the lawn. A ground floor bedroom with an en-suite shower room is perfect for those who have restricted mobility. One quirky feature of the renovation is a child’s room off the first floor bedroom, with a kingsize bed created in the old beams. Secluded yet close to all the attractions, culture, history and shopping York has to offer, this property offers the best of both worlds, so holidaymakers can enjoy the clean country air one day, and a vibrant city ambience the next. Just 300 yards from the golf clubhouse. Fishing can be enjoyed on the River Spey, ¾ mile, the most famous in Scotland for salmon and trout fishing. Various other lakes, fisheries and river nearby. Try your hand at horse riding less than a mile away at the stable that first introduced the concept of pony trekking to the UK in 1952. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Ground floor: Living room with dining area. Kitchen. Conservatory. 1 double bedroom with en-suite shower room. Separate toilet. First floor: 1 double bedroom leading to loft with 2 steps to kingsize bed, beams, sloping ceiling and en-suite with roll-top bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Cot. High chair. Stairgate. 32" Freeview TV. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Fridge/freezer. A lovely welcoming tray awaited us, the cottage was warm and decorated ready for Christmas, it was ideal for us as a family, and pet friendly we would not hesitate to recommend the cottage

Gorgeous cottage with lots of extra touches set in a very quiet and pretty location. It was also nice having the owners on hand if necessary.

Really relaxing holiday, with space and amenities in the cottage to do that. Great environment with a rural feel and a rambling garden.

A warm and cosy cottage, but really rather dark interior, especially the living area. Comfortable beds. Ground floor en suite bedroom was ideal for my elderly mum with less mobility. Owners were pleasant and helpful. Wifi was virtually non existent.

Had a fantastic weekend at Mill Cottage. The cottage itself was wonderful the furniture and bedrooms were extremely comfortable and there was plenty of parking. The location is lovely - only a 2 minute walk to the Pocklington canal and a short drive from Pocklington.

We had a brilliant stay here for my lovely sister in laws hen do. It gave us space to catch up (with a lovely cosy lounge; bright and airy conservatory and lots of room to eat around the table). The beds were really comfy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the friendly host left some complimentary vino and chocys. We would definitely stay again such a nice farm house. Thankyou!
