Good week spoilt by national wet weather. Still enjoyed this beautiful area. However, we led to understand that the cottage had a fridge-freezer, this is not so as there is a normal fridge with an ice box. This would have caused a problem in warmer weather as we had taken frozen food with us.

Mill Cottage is a wonderful cottage, VERY clean and well equipped, in a peaceful setting. The cottage has been lovingly restored with wonderful solid light oak floors. The owners are very caring, lovely people. We would highly recommend this cottage. We took our dog with us. The cottage had no trace that other dogs had ever been in there. The owners garden which is beautiful was open to us at anytime, parking was easy, with a gated so you can keep your dog safe, very little traffic passes by.

Many good features, but mattress very uncomfortable and dirty under the bed. No control over heating and some lighting poor in lounge making it very difficult to read.

If we could offer just one point which would take this score to a maximum "10", it would be a request that the legs/base of the double bed be higher from floor level, which in turn would increase the overall height of the mattress from the floor. I suffer from frequent and painful problems with my lower back and as the height of this bed is quite low, rising from and lowering myself to the bed caused further discomfort. Other than that both the cottage and the hosts were everything one could wish for when seeking a peaceful secluded retreat. The narrowness of the approaching country lanes make ones arrival at the cottage even more welcome!!
