Description

Set within the Pembrokeshire National Park and right on the coast path, enjoy numerous beaches and walking during your stay in aptly named Sandy Haven.

Nestling just 200 yards from a little cove leading to a wide sandy beach with rock pools at low tide, a range of traditional farm buildings have been lovingly converted to create seven delightfully bright and very comfortable cottages. Decorations and a tree are provided for Christmas and New Year bookings. Furnished in smart modern style yet retaining much local charm and individuality, they sit within the Pembrokeshire National Park right on the spectacular Pembrokeshire Coast Path – perfect for bird watchers and walkers as well as bucket and spade family holidays. Numerous other prize winning beaches lie within easy reach, dolphins and seals are often spotted in St Bride’s Bay, and riding on the beach at East Nolton is a delight, 7 miles. The area’s water sports are especially good with sea fishing, sailing, diving, surfing and windsurfing at Broad Haven, 5 miles and Dale, 3 miles whilst golf is available at Milford Haven, 6 miles and Haverfordwest – a medieval town just 10 miles distant and home to a castle, good shopping and entertainments – and at St Davids. This tiny jewel of a cathedral city boasts great restaurants and cafés and a major music festival held in May. A cheese farm, woollen mill and lively theme parks are under 20 miles. Golf is within 5 miles of the property. Shops 6 miles, pub 1.5 miles.

Ground floor: Living room/kitchen with beams. 1 double bedroom. Separate toilet. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double with sloping ceiling and en-suite bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Great stay at Middleholm. Really lovely well equipped cottage and in an ideal location to explore the spectacular area of Pembrokeshire. The owners were very helpful. Great for kids as there is a games room with table tennis, pool and table football plus an outdoors play area. On the downside ( or plus side depending on your point of view) the farm is a bit isolated so you have to drive everywhere though there is a coastal walk and small cove nearby. Overall it's a lovely place to stay and we would definitely go back.

Excellent place. Loses points for poor wifi. But for many that may be a plus. Warm, comfortable, quite. Brook pub recommended. Cliff top walk only 10 minutes away.
