A stylish and comfortable second floor apartment.

Meadowcroft House is a former gentleman’s residence built in 1908. Over the last century it has been used as a school and hotel before being converted into a stunning complex of apartments. There are two acres of grounds including mature trees, manicured lawns, shrubberies and more natural areas to enjoy and an all weather tennis court is available for guests use. For the less energetic, the gardens are large enough for a leisurely stroll and are full of birds, rabbits and the occasional deer. Meadowcroft is a five minute short drive to Bowness with it’s shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, a local supermarket, and the Beatrix Potter Centre.
Meadowcroft No 7 can be booked together with Meadowcroft No 12 (UK1291) and Meadowcroft No 4 (CC128234) to accommodate up to 14 guests.

Second Floor:
This stylish and comfortable second floor apartment has gas central heating and comprises:
Shared entrance hallway leading to second floor and inner hall.
Cloakroom: With WC and basin.
Bedroom 1: With double bed, chaise longue, all year views towards Lake Windermere and the beautiful gardens and en-suite walk in wet room style shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail.
Bedroom 2: With twin beds, fitted units and en-suite with shower over double ended bath, WC, basin and heated towel rail.

Study/snug area: With comfy sofa and 32" TV with Playstation 3 (including controls, camera, microphones and some games) and Wi-Fi.
Kitchen: with breakfast bar, discreet lighting, electric double oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, wine chiller, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
Through to the very light and spacious...
Lounge/dining room: With wall mounted 40" TV and DVD (with extensive DVD collection), deep cushioned sofas and winter views of the lake through the trees.

All gas, electric, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot available. Wi-Fi. Free use of the communal all weather tennis court and access to 2 acres of shared planted areas and large flat lawn with patio. Parking for two cars and ample visitor parking. Visit Britain Gold awarded property.

    Fabulous and quiet location just outside the town. Really lovely flat with great views of the property grounds and bit of the lake. Flat does need some attention as there was a mold on the wall in both bedrooms by the windows. Well equiped flat even with a range of DVD's or games for evening entertainment . Really liked the combination of the old vs modern technology such as remote to control the lights, induction cooker etc. We will be definitely coming back again as we felt in love not only with the location but the house itself.

    Wonderful location with beautiful grounds, if the weather had been finer it would have been lovely to sit outside. The apartment was well appointed, and very clean. Minutes from Bowness town centre and the lake cruises, so it was good to be a little way away from the noise and holiday traffic. It is up a steep hill and as it rained almost constantly while we were there, we were very pleased we had a car to get home and to explore locally. There were two TVs, a box of DVDs, books and a basket of helpful local information and leaflets. We had only a couple of small gripes - plentiful towels but they were a bit thin and rough so new supplies for next season might be an idea. One night the heating made such tremendous banging and shuddering that the visitors below came to see what was happening. But we turned it off and it ceased immediately, I think it was probably just an air lock. The drain in the ensuite shower needed clearing as it backed up on the first morning, however there were no further problems. All in all a very comfortable, warm and spacious apartment and we'd happily go back.

    We enjoyed our stay in this clean, large, comfortable flat. Just a pity that there's not much within easy walking distance.
