Great location in a quiet location down a lane in the country side. Walking with the dogs down the numerous footpaths in the area was relaxing and great views and plenty of wildlife. Cottage was great and well equipped. Hay on Wye worth a visit.

Loved the actual property, especially the bed but found the poor state of the access road to be a real negative. Also would have liked to be able to control the heating and not rely on the owners next door.

Had a great stay at Meadow View. Very friendly hosts who were extremely helpful with any requests. Stayed in December. Amazing bed, big bathroom with shower and bath. Downstairs area had great sofas with an open fire. Would stay again if in the area. Thanks

We were seeking a quite location for a winter week end away and Meadow View exactly lived up to expectations. The accommodation is excellent, one of the best we have enjoyed. Unfortunately the central heating was woeful, with none in the morning and the briefest burst in the evening. The log burner was great, but not an adequate substitute. Given the time of year we particularly chose somewhere where heating was included. Fortunately our unseasonably mild November helped, but cottages must match the web site description.

Due to traffic jams, roadworks etc it took us nearly 7 hours to reach our destination, so it was dark when we eventually arrived at the cottage. We had a hard job fiddling about in the dark with a key safe, but after several failed attempts, eventually managed to get the key out! We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the cottage and how well it was equipped. After a while, the owner knocked to see if we were ok and then helped us light the wood burner and kindly gave us some milk, as we were going to go to a shop but it was too late! After a light meal we went to bed and the wonderful four poster bed was divine to sleep in! We had a lovely, relaxing stay. One small point was that we did experience three quite cold nights when no radiators were put on, as they are all controlled by the owners. As I'm disabled and the cold affects my condition, I was feeling uncomfortably cold and we only had the wood burner in the lounge area for any warmth, so upstairs was quite chilly, being October. It could be a bit inconvenient having no signal or internet at all, but if you don't mind that, it was fine. All in all, we did have a very relaxing time and would definitely recommend it!

Valentine's weekend mini break. Cosy cottage with a lovely woodburner. Beautiful location ideal for country walks and sightseeing. Owners very helpful and friendly. Only downside was the access track heavily pot holed if you have a slung car. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We loved our week at Meadow View from our first bump down the dusty driveway till the last. The driveway is the only drawback but everything else makes up for it. We used our stay to visit lots of gardens Abbey Dore, Hampton Court, [the Hereford one ]and Westonbury Water Mill to name but a few. Wonderfully quiet, well equiped cottage and great bed. The nesting swallows, housemartins and sparrows a bonus. We had a wonderful day in the Elan valley at Steve's suggestion, great walking and biking. The new Wi Fi booster worked well and if you find the right spot in the meadow at the front O2 have a signal.
