It was a great find for us as we wanted a comfortable, single level, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom property, which was suitable for us to take an elderly couple and a dog. There was a good sized bedroom either end of the property, both with good sized en-suites. The living accommodation was open plan, with patio doors either side. One side opened out to a good sized, enclosed garden (with a shed containing lots of chairs, wheelchair ramps, BBQ, bowl for dog washing), and the other side opened to an enclosed patio area, over looking fields (where Rosetta, the horse lives). The owners live next door, and couldn’t have been more helpful. Apart from providing everything needed in the bungalow (all kitchen equipment, bedding, tea towels, as well as extras such as toilet rolls, kitchen roll, hair dryers, tea bags, milk, biscuits, dog treats, cling film, foil, lots of DVDs, books, games, night lights......), Caroline (owner) also came to our rescue when we got called home early one evening, but needed to return a hired wheelchair to Southwold the next day. She told us to just abandon everything, and she would return the wheelchair for us the next day! In our rush, we left two bathroom suction grab handles in the en-suite - hopefully they will come in useful for other visitors. Everywhere we went was pretty, well looked after and clean (Southwold, Aldeburgh,Thorness, villages around. We had one of the best Sunday lunches in a pub about 5-10 mins drive called The Parrot and Punchbowl. Also a lovely lunch in a cafe attached to a ‘bric-a-brack’ Shop in Thorness. Many places allow dogs in. Every day, we all said how lucky we were to have found such an ideal place to stay. If we ever go back to that area we would definitely stay at Meadow View again.

Thank you John and Caroline for the warm welcome, also for the milk and cookies. We found the plugin night lights in the main ensure cupboard, very handy. We will come back earlier in the year next time, when the places of interest are open. The view from the back window was great. We found some good pubs to eat out at lunchtime. We really enjoyed our week at Meadow View.

Our second visit to Meadow view, this time sadly without Lucy, the dog. Bright, peaceful, secluded location with Rosetta in the meadow. We love the tranquillity of the setting, yet within easy reach of interesting places. Spotlessly clean, well appointed, comfortable. We'd happily go back again.

My sister and I were very pleased with the cottage; it was well-equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The owners are helpful and friendly. The garden borders were very pretty and the views from the cottage across fields were interesting.

This is the second time we have stayed at meadow view because we enjoyed the first visit so much. On our first night a deer came within a few feet of the cottage there are wild rabbits everywhere so nice to see nature up close also a great base for walking with or without a dog coastal or in land Caroline who owns the property is really helpful and although they live close to the cottage they never bother you and we are already looking to come back again next year
