We had an absolutely fantastic week in the house. We were greeted upon arrival and shown round what is a truly stunning building. The social areas are huge: the large lounge has more than enough space to get all 10 together around a fire with a board game; the dining round comfortably fit all of us and the kitchen was the best-equipped that I've used. The bedrooms are all beautiful and extremely homely. We would be delighted to stay here again.

A lovely relaxing base for a special birthday celebration for a group of 10. The quirkiness of the house is such a great place for a group gathering. 4 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms is always useful in such a large group. There are numerous sitting areas but the lounge was perfect for us all to relax after a great meal together. The view from 3 of the bedrooms is fantastic over the 22 acre village green and the newborn lambs on our doorstep was a birthday bonus. Anne is a lovely host and made us all feel very welcome.

Our second trip to Meaburn Hill Farmhouse and although the weather was not as kind the location and property more than made up for that - fantastic holiday!

Great property with lots of character in beautiful countryside yet close to lots of places. Perfect for family to be together and chill out in space and comfort. Loved the aga. Always a kettle brewing

We were a party of 4 adults and 4 children, and the farmhouse had ample space for all of us to live comfortably. The library doubled as a playroom for the children, albeit the lounge itself had more than enough space for everyone. The kitchen was amazingly well equipped - in fact the farmhouse has everything you could dream of needing on a break away. We even found some Xmas decorations! The house was extremely warm at all times and never felt draughty or cold as some properties of that age/style can sometimes. The provision of coal and logs on arrival for the wood burner and fire was a nice touch. All but one of the bedrooms is en suite, and the beds are comfortable and rooms a good size. The wonky floorboards only added to the charm of the property, and every room has its own unique detail. The hamlet of Maulds Meaburn is delightful, extremely quiet, but exactly what we wanted for an escape from it all break. The house is situated at the highest point of the village, which provides breathtaking views from the front of the property. There are amenities (shop, pub) nearby at Crosby Ravensworth, and more at Appleby, some five miles away. The house is ideally situated for the lakes - we visited Windermere, which was only about 35 mins away by car. The benefit of the location being that it provides a quiet haven, but is close enough to the more popular areas if required. Overall, we were extremely impressed with Meaburn Hill Farmhouse, and would definitely return and would recommend it highly.

Had a really good week at Meaburn Hill Farmhouse. Everything had been thought of and Annie & Brian were friendly but not intrusive. Everyone loved the quirkiness of the farmhouse and we'd love to visit again, hopefully when the weather is a bit better!

I had a fantastic holiday here celebrating my 40th Birthday with friends and family. The location is beautiful we enjoyed the wonderful views from the cottage. The property is so cosy and comfortable and immediately felt like home. It's very well equipped and we made good use of the Aga in the kitchen. It's a great property for a big party as the lay out enables people to spread out and have a bit of their own space when needed. Annie, the owner, was very friendly and helpful and happily replenished our log supply throughout the week - we loved the fires!
