Cottage is fine, and well equipped and clean. We didn't find it ideal with two young children, as the cottage is quite tight on room, and the stairs are very tricky to get up carrying a baby. The main road also runs past the front door, with a steady flow of traffic. I would say it suits couples or older families better. Convenient for the main resorts.

We had a wonderful stay at Marys Cottage with our 2 dogs. Everything we needed was provided and Jane the caretaker (who lives next door) was very helpful with any questions we had. The cottage might not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems though as the stairs are very steep and narrow with a sharp turn at the bottom. That said though, we got used to them pretty quickly! There is a local shop right opposite which seems to sell absolutely everything and 3 pubs within about 100 yards. The road is busy during the day, but much quieter at night and we had no problems sleeping. There is a lovely park about 5 mins walk for dog walking and Yaverland beach is only about a 5 minute drive away which is also great for the dogs and very popular.

No fault of the cottage but the road is right outside and busier/noisier than expected. Great position within the island though.the jurassic coast was excellent and all pubs we went to were dog friendly.

Nice little cottage but it has a rather steep staircase leading to the bedrooms indeed! Very comfortable and very well equipped. Convenient village location with shop opposite, great for the dogs, 2 minutes up the road a playing field leading to several footpaths and bridleways. Only 6minutes by car to lovely beach of Yaverland, Roman Villa by the village, not far to Osborne House. Directly situated in High Street and traffic can be busy during the day but was ok at night, parking available in Pub car park nearby and for unpacking/packing car you can briefly park in Shop car park opposite. We had a lovely time and the dogs enjoyed themselves!
