Fabulous stay at the wonderful marl house farm. Both bedrooms were very nice and spacious as was the bathroom with its roll top bath and separate shower cubicle. The living area was spacious with a lovely log burner and stone fireplace and the spiral staircase adds a touch of the unusual to it. The large farmhouse kitchen has everything you could need and the small enclosed courtyard area has seating and a bbq. We also bought fresh eggs from next door and the welcome bottle of wine was much appreciated and a lovely touch. The scenery in the area is stunning and we found it easy to walk with our dogs to the nearest pub just over a quarter of a mile away as a local told us about going through the wood opposite which comes out a few yards away from the house so no need to walk down the main road that has no path. The only downside for us could have been the noisy traffic as the bedrooms back onto a busy main road but we just bought some earplugs and the noise was gone. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely recommend it to anyone! Hope to come back again.

Cottage is lovely 😊 high spec kitchen Beds really comfortable Roll top bath very relaxing after a long walk Owner was so helpful we really enjoyed our weekend And will definitely be going back Even with our two little and I mean little negatives Which was the road noise and there’s no pavement from the cottage to walk dogs down to the pub on a main road Apart from that perfect 👌

Fantastic support - there was a problem with the heating and hot water on the first night but the response was immediate and everything was back up and running before the snow arrived. The snow was very heavy but the proximity to main travel routes ensured that access was maintained. The cottage location provides for a good range of walks, National Trust and local amenities. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. The hosts provide friendly and assured support in the event of any problems.

Lovely little cottage. Bottle of wine on arrival a nice touch. All the mod-cons you could want. Internet was a tad patchy at times, but that was only a tiny blemish. Well located for getting away, but easy driving distances to busier towns. Overall we had a very nice stay.

Superb, a home from home. very well equipped. Spacious and comfortable. Coping with the road noise 1 metre away was the only slight negative.
