I just love staying at this property. It is always so lovely and clean and quiet. The cream tea and milk and wine in the fridge are a lovely welcome.

This is a very well equipped bungalow , comfortable and well situated and dog friendly. A lot of thought has gone into making it a very pleasant place to stay. We did however have to make up one of the beds ourselves, and the recycling bins were difficult to access across a very soggy lawn. Value for money here is usually very good - I have marked it down as I felt having to pay extra for heating on top of the premium for Christmas week a little excessive. These are minor points though and I would recommend the cottage warmly

We stayed at Mariners Corner 3 years ago and it was really good to still find the same standard of cleanliness and overall thought that has gone into making this one of the best holiday properties we have stayed in. Full marks.

This is basic accomodation and if you're using it as a place to eat and sleep then adequate. The jam and scones left for us was lovely...however the location and lack of outside space, which was not overlooked was minimal, so privacy was an issue for us. Also despite there being a gate, our dog easily managed to escape out into the road and we had to literally move the outdoor furniture to block the gate. He's a cocker spaniel, so not a small dog, so be careful.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner. Our beautiful garden is approximately a quarter of an acre and most of this is at the front of the bungalow where the garden is fairly open plan and is not designed to keep a dog on site. However we hope that garden lovers will enjoy the flowers and shrubs and there is also a partly screened area of lawn to the side, which can be used by guests to sit in or for children to play games. The back garden is much smaller and is well-screened by flowering shrubs and fencing for privacy. The only way a dog could escape is under or over the two side gates and we do leave small timbers and pots for guests to use to block the under side of the gates for a small dog.

Have stayed at several holiday homes and this is one of the best. Very clean and everything you need i.e. washer, dryer, fridge freezer, WIFI, central heating (which can be controlled by the holiday guest). To me this is important as have previously stayed at properties whereby the central heating was on a timer and could not be accessed via the holiday guest. The welcome gift was a lovely gesture and appreciated after our long journey. Had to contact the owner during our stay over a minor issue and she was very helpful. Bungalow is within a residential area which I prefer and I knew this when booking, but it was still very peaceful and relaxing. Location wise 10 min walk to beach at Bexhill, 30 min drive to Eastbourne and about an hour drive to Brighton. Beachy Head also about a 30 min drive. There is a Co-Op near by nearby, however, there is a Tesco which is near to the beach at Bexhill which is a 10 min walk. If, I was to visit this part of the world again I would not hesitate to stay at Mariners Cottage again.
