We liked the location, but the beds were poor quality and affected our sleep. The caretakers only cleaned round the furniture, very noticeable when looking for a mis-placed item, even this revealed broken glass, dog hairs (we had no dog!) and lots of dust. We had to notify the owner concerning a non-working dishwasher (She replaced with a new one on the following Monday), Non-working light fitment in the lounge area and three light bulbs either missing or not working in two bedrooms. It was obvious that checks were never made by the caretakers.

An ideal location for some time on the river. Nice little village to walk through and watch the boats go by at one of the pubs.

Nice location in marina. great start with welcome card biscuits. milk in fridge. tea and coffee. It was loveley and clean and spacious. However a couple of things to say 1. No washing machine so bring ample clothes 2. There was a note saying that there was a smell from next doors drains and it really do get a foul smell when you open the the front door. Or kitchen window. 3. The front door lock thumb knob was loose and we could bot lock the front door from inside so i had to go round the back and lock and unlock it from outside. Needed tightening with allen key then was fine. 4. Did not feel very secure at back because if you rattle the french door the top bolt drops down. Need addtional bolts so they are on both doors. 5. Mooring space, there is a mooring directly out side backdoors which belongs to the house or so i thought?. It was empty so i had nice lot of room to fish. BUT IT'S NOT ON THE MAIN RIVER However another angler staying two doors up told me that it was a situation of fish anywhere and promptly setup with a family member right in front of the back door.so i could not fish. He said he had been coming here for 15 years and that was the way things were. I replied it would have been polite to ask if i minded. To which i received a swear word reply. He seemed to know the immediate neighbour who one day moved his boat half onto my mooring so his mate could fish his mooring. Felt like it was a bit of an old boys club. 6, slept in single beds on 1st floor. Very uncomfortable though and you could feel the springs. Why do people compromise on good quality matresses 6. Small note to fix. Tv seemed too high on wall so you get a stiff neck. Also it not straight

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review of Marine Vista. I am pleased to hear that you found the property clean and spacious. I would like to address the points you have raised: Marina Vista is a grade 3 property and does not advertise a washing machine. We understand the frustration with the drain situation but I know that Ferry Marina and Anglia Water are well aware of the situation and are sorting it. Comments about the locks are noted and have been sorted. Marina Vista is a waterside property situated in a marina 80m from the river Bure. The mooring space immediately outside the property belongs to the house and is therefore, for the exclusive use of our guests. Beds are a difficult concept as what is comfortable for one person is not for another (as is the height of the T.V.). I do hope that the above did not detract too much on your stay.

Beautiful property in an amazing location. However a few ideas for the owner, could do with some mesh over betty like the neighbours as we lost many things down the cracks in including a landing net & lots off fish. Also the step onto the deck could so to be higher both my elderly parents struggled to get up & down. But please don't feel these comments are negative ad nothing stopped us enjoying our stay. Would definitely return & would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful location; marina views front and back. Further back from the river than we expected but not a problem.

Another enjoyable stay at Marina Vista, well equipped, clean and comfortable. A lovely relaxing location in the Marina, with (for me) the added bonus of on the spot fishing. Close to Norwich and Great Yarmouth and plenty of other places to visit with in easy travelling distance. Great shopping at Wroxham and Roy's of Wroxham is always worth a visit. It would be nice to have WiFi but managed the week without it! Would stay again.

Over all our experience of this property was great .. The property was one of the best kept that we have stayed in the recent past .. Extremely clean property beds , amenities inside the property great .. The property also has a facility to keep the boat .. However the property is in the Quays and not directly on the river which was stated in the description .. so that was a bit of a let down. Overall I think it was still great.
