Most enjoyable stay with all major facilities available. Can understand lack of wi fi which was a bit of a nuisance.

This is the 3rd time here for me, I enjoyed the stay as much this time as the first time. The area is more familiar to us now and we love the Hereford countryside. The kitchen window is quite drafty whilst sat eating our meals. We decided not to light the fire due to there being no ash collection pan.

Nice area but property has severely outdated decor and had a bluebottle infestation

Fantastic location with lovely 'challenging' walks, central to the best areas of the Wye. valley.

Lovely little lodge in a beautiful area. The kindness shown by the owners in allowing guests to walk in the adjoining fields and woodland is a definite bonus, especially if you have dogs. The cottage is cosy, clean and well equipped with all you need for a relaxing holiday. The upstairs bedrooms, though very comfortable are within the eaves so tall people need to beware. Saying that though, my 6'2 husband didn't bang his head at all, yet me, at 5'6 banged it twice! The garden is lovely, with various areas to sit, so you always get some sun and the view from the upper garden is lovely, especially suited to watching the sun set. There is a lane immediately outside the property and whilst we were staying there numerous tractors and trailers used this lane. Of course this is to be expected and was not a problem to us in any way whatsoever and as the garden is very secure for dogs with stock fencing and a five bar gate it is worth a mention as some dogs may find a way out and kids can climb gates so need to be watched. Another little gate at the top of the garden leads out into the estate grounds and there are several specific walks of various lengths which the owners have carefully mapped out and left with clear instructions in a folder in the cottage. All in all a super place to stay and in a great location to visit the Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains, Hay on Wye and numerous other wonderful family attractions.
