Lots of character, spacious kitchen, good utility area, safe garden and walks on the estate for dogs and beautiful views. Heating system and open fire ensured the cottage was warm, although the upstairs windows in winter were drafty at night.

Stayed here twice now. Would recommend to anyone. Great for getting into Hereford and lovely location. Even the dog loves it with walks around the grounds.

The cottage is actually on the B4230 which runs between the A438 and A480. This is not too much of a problem at weekends but during weekdays the traffic starts at about 5:30a.m presumably as people commute so do not expect a lie in if you are unused to traffic noise. The speed limit on the stretch of road outside the cottage is 60 m.p.h. The accommodation itself is more or less what you see in the photographs apart from the sitting room furniture which is now low backed leather seating but overall it could fairly be described as a bit grubby.

We have stayed here before. The road was noticeably busier than two years ago, especially early in the morning (5am-ish). The cottage is very welcoming, including a delicious sponge cake and makings of tea/coffee (including fresh milk) waiting, and a chance encounter with the owner impressed us with his friendliness and interest in our comfort. The property is also very dog-friendly - our GSD loves it!

Lovely break, idyllic location and views, heard woodpeckers daily, lovely to see the lambs in the bordering field and many birds including wrens and robins. Scored 7 for local amenities as not a lot nearby other than farm shop, but that suited us and Hereford only 8 miles away. Short drive to lots of pretty villages with attractive houses. Weobley worth a visit. The settees weren't very comfy and that affected the score for comfort, the arms very hard to lean on, squishy fabric settees would suit the cottage better. Lovely sprawling garden of flowers and trees and importantly secure for dogs. Cottage would benefit from an update on the decor which looked a bit tired but the property was clean overall with everything we needed. Lovely cake and wine were a welcome touch on arrival, thankyou.

Great cottage. Lovely peaceful location with easy access to the owners grounds for nice walks. Dog friendly. Easy to get into Hereford and surrounding areas. The owner left us a delicious cake along with milk, tea and coffee which was very welcome after a long drive.
