This large terraced property is beautifully presented throughout with spacious rooms and high ceilings. Manorlea is just a short walk from the 5-mile stretch of white sandy beach all protected by the rugged grandeur of Filey Brigg where excellent clifftop walks along the Cleveland Way to the chalk cliffs of Bempton’s RSPB bird sanctuary afford stunning views of the East Yorkshire coastline. This stretch of coastline has long been a favourite with families; with ponies on the beach and mini golf on the award-winning promenade, this traditional seaside town has remained unspoilt over the decades. The larger resort of Scarborough, Britain’s oldest seaside town, affords theatre, shopping, the Sea Life Centre and golf courses. Other places of interest are Burton Agnes Hall, Castle Howard and Sewerby Hall and Gardens. Shops, pubs and restaurants 100 yards.

spent a lovely long weekend here with the family, the house was in a great location, and there was plenty of room for the 8 of us.

Spent a lovely family weekend at Manorlea. We felt at home straight away and the children from toddler to teenagers found plenty to occupy them in the games cupboard. The cottage had everything we needed and was clean, well organised and tastefully decorated. Very convenient for shops and the beach.

Good location for our 3 generation family holiday. Accommodation was clean but had several issues. On entering fusty & musty smell. Probably due to lack of ventilation as all lounge, dining & kitchen windows will not or cannot be opened. Gf electric shower no power & upstairs shower needs new thermostat, as temperature wouldn't stay constant. Ff twin room basin but no towel rail and all drawers had to remain open as smelly. 2nd floor twin bed room no windows open. House is all rather tired & reminded us of student accommodation!Off road parking wasn't a problem in August.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. The windows open in each room and we open these whilst cleaning on a Saturday so we are unsure what the fusty musty smell was? There are also utility windows and back door that open. One window handle has been broken but I am getting someone out to fix this. The shower upstairs has just been fixed and I was unaware this wasn’t working, as no one has mentioned it i had it fixed in July and I will get someone out. It’s an electric shower not a power shower, you don’t get the same power from electric ones. There are heated towel rails in two bathrooms, radiators in bedrooms for towels. During the main holiday season it is difficult to touch/spruce things up during the many changeovers. However I am planning on changing carpets over winter and touching up with paint etc. ready for the next season.

Great family holiday house. Plenty of space. At times problem with close parking.
