An excellent location set in 450 acres of beautiful countryside with many footpaths and cycle tracks from the door.

Perfectly situated within 450 acres of the owners grounds right in the heart of the Cotswolds, these charming adjoining holiday cottages (refs 29613 and 29931) are in the most incredible location from which to enjoy and explore the beauty and attractions of the local and surrounding areas. Nestled away on Manor Farm in the middle of an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty, guests will be able to enjoy every one of the unique aspects of the grounds. The Dingle has been furnished to a very good standard and the family bathroom has a quirky finish with fossils in the decoration, which date back thousands of years. Tudor Stable has been lovingly converted with local artefacts; wood from the grounds, stone from the quarry and many more personal touches. Perfect for walkers, cyclists and people who love to horse ride, there are many public footpaths, cycle paths and bridleways that criss-cross straight through the grounds and will take guests to many locations both near and far, including the Cotswold Way and the Rollright Stones. The undulating grounds offer much to see and explore including a limestone quarry, a running stream, ponds, woodland and unspoilt natural countryside which also includes a forest of White Willow trees from which the wood is produced for cricket bats used by world famous batsmen and cricketers across the globe. There are also plenty of opportunities to quietly watch the wildlife and horses that live on the farm and also, with an extra cost and prior agreement with the owner, the opportunity to take part in riding lessons, stabling, schooling and training provided by the owner who is a world renowned horse trainer. The popular Cotswold market town of Chipping Norton is only a short drive away, as is the famous organic shop and café which sells local produce. The owner will also be happy to arrange for a local catering company to visit the property if the dates are convenient. For guests wishing to travel a little further afield but still remain within an easy 30-minute drive, there is ample opportunity to visit one of the many Cotswolds towns and villages which are renowned for their character and charm. Visit Burford, Witney, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold, Abingdon, Banbury, Hook Norton ,Bourton-on-the-Water, Shipston, Broadway or Chipping Campden. The cathedral city of Oxford, Bicester Village and Designer Outlet Centre, Cheltenham, Blenheim Palace which is famous for being the birthplace of Winston Churchill are all must see places to visit as well as William Wordsworth’s Stratford-upon-Avon which is only a 40-minute drive north of the area. A fab house for two families going on holiday together. It's very quirky with lots of little bits and pieces in the property but has everything you need apart from a potato masher lol! The hot tub was great.

Family Birthday was our reason for renting a 5 bedroom property so we could all celebrate together. The house is not 5 star but it has a comfortable and relaxed feel to it as soon as you walk in. We used the hot tub, but not the barbecue. The dishwasher broke down and was replaced by a new one within 24 hours. The owner is lovely and is willing to make sure you have a nice time, her dog Jingles paid us several visits, usually around meal times!! I would certainly book again.

The property was perfect for a family get together. A number of our party are keen cyclists and enjoyed exploring the local area on two wheels. Plenty of good walking on the doorstop, so ideal for the dog. Very accessible to many places of interest and there are plenty of very good pubs and restaurants close by. The hot tub was a real bonus.

The cottage was difficult to find and the street name given is wrong. There are no signs to Manor Farm and a very tiny name board on the cottage itself is easily missed. Once found the cottage itself is wonderful with a quirky farmhouse style built by the current owner. However, we had to clean the bathrooms when we arrived and 1 couple in the party changed their beds as the sheets were covered in animal hairs. The hottub is good but be warned that it is an chargeable extra and NOT included in the advertised price despite it being a key sales feature. The owner is a nice lady but there was no introduction pack or location details in the house such as how to operate the hot tub or what areas of the farm you could access and other basic details of amenities.

A lovely cottage that worked very well for my family's weekend away. However, some things to be aware of (that may explain the price which, to be fair, is a lot lower than many cottages of comparable size/location): firstly, the cottage was not ready when my relatives arrived and it all seemed quite disorganised. We had to get our towels out of the tumble dryer, and washing was actually left in the machine over the weekend we stayed there. The extra beds we had requested had not been completely set up for us. Secondly, when we tried to contact the owner due to a problem with a hot tub, she did not respond. This meant the hot tub was out of use for the last night of the weekend, which was a shame. Usually there are instructions left, but there were none around hence having to contact the owner. Lastly, our weekend was interrupted a number of times by people knocking at the house looking for someone else, who actually lived in a little worker's hut next to the cottage. I do want to underline that we had a lovely weekend, it's a charming cottage and the wood-burning fire is just lovely, and so for many families this will be perfect. The hot tub was also a welcome addition, and we really enjoyed taking walks in the local area. However, having stayed in a number of similar properties these were just some things I noticed that I would have liked to have known about before I stayed there too.

We couldn't get the place very warm even with the log burner so had to sit and drink wine in the hot tub!! Not so bad after all. A lovely quiet weekend and really friendly owner. Thank you.
