In superb locations and beautiful settings. Cottages4you gives you a fantastic range of hand-picked properties with quality you can rely on.

An excellent location set in 450 acres of beautiful countryside with many footpaths and cycle tracks from the door.

Perfectly situated within 450 acres of the owner’s working stud farm right in the heart of the Cotswolds, these rustic adjoining holiday cottages (refs 29613 and 29931) are in the most incredible location from which to enjoy and explore the beauty and attractions of the local and surrounding areas. Nestled away on Manor Farm in the middle of an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty, guests will be able to enjoy every one of the unique aspects of the grounds in this excellent location, on a large working farm in beautiful countryside. The Dingle has been furnished to a very good standard and the family bathroom has a quirky finish with fossils in the decoration, which date back thousands of years. Both properties have been lovingly converted with local artefacts; wood from the grounds, stone from the quarry and many more personal touches.
Perfect for walkers, cyclists and people who love to horse ride, there are many public footpaths, cycle paths and bridleways that criss-cross straight through the grounds and will take guests to many locations both near and far, including the Cotswold Way and the Rollright Stones. The area is an official Dark Sky site for star gazing, so don’t forget your binoculars! The undulating grounds offer much to see and explore including a limestone quarry, a running stream, ponds, woodland and unspoilt natural countryside, which also includes a forest of white willow trees from which the wood is produced for cricket bats used by world famous batsmen and cricketers across the globe. There are also plenty of opportunities to quietly watch the wildlife and horses that live on the farm and also, with an extra cost and prior agreement with the owner, the opportunity to take part in riding lessons, stabling, schooling and training provided by the owner who is a world renowned horse trainer.
The popular Cotswold market town of Chipping Norton is only a short drive away, as is the famous organic shop and café which sells local produce. The owner will also be happy to arrange for a local catering company to visit the property if the dates are convenient. For guests wishing to travel a little further afield but still remain within an easy 30-minute drive, there is ample opportunity to visit one of the many Cotswolds towns and villages which are renowned for their character and charm. Visit Burford, Witney, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold, Abingdon, Banbury, Hook Norton, Bourton-on-the-Water, Shipston, Broadway or Chipping Campden. The cathedral city of Oxford, Bicester Village and Designer Outlet Centre, Cheltenham, Blenheim Palace which is famous for being the birthplace of Winston Churchill are all must see places to visit as well as William Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon which is only a 40-minute drive north of the area. Shop, pub and restaurant ¾ mile. The Dingle (ref. 29931) and Tudor Stable (ref. 29613) can be booked together, via a lockable interconnecting door, to accommodate up to 14 guests.

A tired property that was well presented to a high spec when it was first done many years ago but is now in need of an update. Kitchen dirty on arrival (we cleaned it), bathrooms cleanish and clean (if dated) bedrooms. Owner very defensive when we reported the cleanliness issues. Told we were lucky to be staying there. As it was freezing cold on night one we were not convinced. An odd property, lots of promise but needs a significant overhaul to command the sort of rental income the owner told us it can achieve.

We had a lovely 40th birthday weekend with all of the family. The cottage suited all of our needs. The cottage provided all that we needed.

I think its fair to say that the description of the cottage definitely plays to its strengths although unfortunately there were many weaknesses. We visited for a 3 night stay, booking a highchair and cot bed on the website - neither of which were there on our arrival although, to her credit, the landlady did provide these after we called. The house is lovely however although the living area is a very large open space, all of the stone work and uneven floor surface does not make it very child friendly. In fact this is generally not a child friendly place to stay. My toddler found a hand axe in an attractive box beside the fire, there were lots of weed killer and other dangerous bottles of chemical sitting around either on the floor in the kitchen or just outside the door and generally just lots of things laying around outside the house. I appreciate that the cottage is on a working farm but I expected the landscape directly outside the house to be clutter free not with tools sitting on coffee tables and weeds creeping up through the patio slabs. It just didn't feel as if any care was taken to tidy up before our arrival, there were water bottles on the tables outside which I assume were from the previous tenants, all the tables to the front of the house were cluttered with plants and tools for planting, the house was very dusty with large dust balls of what looked like pet hair in the wardrobes and there were no instructions that we could find to tell us how to use any of the appliances. I really dislike leaving such a negative review because the owner herself was extremely friendly and helpful when we called. This cottage is ideal for a group of adults wanting to go hiking in the Cotswolds and relax in the hot tub at the end of the day. Unfortunately we were a group of 30 something adults with 2 toddlers and as a parent, I couldn't relax.

Gorgeous spot and seeing the foals on the farm was a real treat. The cottage was very spacious and had loads of character although this did include no ceiling lighting for our stay. The log burner and hot tub were great.
