Fabulous, spotlessly clean, comfortable, beautiful countryside, idyllic what more can you ask for? We have stayed before and will stay again. Owners cannot do enough for you, they stayed in to accept delivery of my mothers oxygen to make sure it was there for when we arrived, they made sure there was a bigger TV in the cottage so my mum could see it as her eyesight is not so good, they also run a farm and yet everything is kept in perfect order! We cannot wait to get back and see Denise and her family, it's like visiting family for us! Thank you, we love Swallow Cottage.xx

For our group this was an ideal location, very quiet and near to the coast. The cottage was very well equipped and very clean. Sadly the weather did not allow us to take advantage of the BBQ or the outdoor seating area.

We really enjoyed our stay at Swallow cottage. It is a beautifully designed cottage and we had a great holiday. Shipton Gorge is a great location affording visits to lots of destinations such as Weymouth, Lyme Regis, Buckfast Abbey and Torquay. The nearby town of Bridport has much to offer in the way of Pubs and Restaurants as well as a good weekly market. We can heartily recommend the cottage to anyone.

The cottage (barn conversion) was as good as any we have previously rented and better than most. Conveniently sited, well furnished and well cared for it as as good as it gets. We will most certainly use this rental again.

We booked the cottage based on other online reviews, as they all seemed to be very positive. On arrival, we had a warm welcome from the cottage owner, who lives in an adjoining property. We were pleasantly surprised by the size and presentation of the cottage with everything appearing to be be very well maintained. The ensuite bathroom in the master bedroom was un unexpected bonus and the open gravel area directly outside gave the kids an ideal area to run around risk free. The lack of mobile phone reception was a welcome break from the outside world (something to bear in mind if it's a real issue for you). However, there was access to wifi if you wanted to walk to the nearby communal information area for all of the shared cottages (wifi will not reach to the cottage). BT were also in the process of laying fibre whilst we were there. The communal area had a good selection (but a little dated) of games, DVDs and books. There was also tourist information booklets and a communal freezer and tumble drier. We spent a week and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. The only very minor grumbles were that the three piece suite was a little uncomfortable, but this is a very minor point!! A great place to stay and we'll definitely look at going back.
