The cottage is in a very nice situation . It has good accommodation, is clean and well equipped although most of the decor, linens and furniture are getting quite tired requiring some freshening up.

We stayed in Maninghem for a week in August. It is a lovely peaceful location, and easy to get around, however you do need a car! The nearby village of Hucqueliers has a post office, supermarket and restaurant. Day trips to Le Tourquet (beach, water park, sand sculptures, bike hire & shops), Montreuil (a medieval town with ramparts to walk along) and St Omer were easily achieved and enjoyed by our family (aged 13 - 86)

lovely property which is one of two located within the farm. Nicely fenced off with lots of land for children to play on with a play area and sand pit and at the time, we had horses and goats in the field which the children loved. One of the goats had great football skills which many people had enjoyed having read the visitors book. The owner was very welcoming but did not speak much English, her father in law lived at the bottom of the lane which lead to the property so felt very safe. Properties positioned so that you still have lots of privacy and a great stone built barbecue made cooking outside easy and enjoyable. Very rural location and no WiFi but we enjoyed getting away from it all. The village is pretty but it only has a Fritterie so it is necessary to drive to shops and places of interest. The nearest shop is a Carrefour which is 5 mins in the car and places of interest and the beach are no more that half an hour away in the car. Lots to see and do in the area, it was our first holiday in France and we were very impressed.
