Delightful cottage, first floor lounge with balcony overlooking river and with beamed ceilings, swimming pool and sauna available.

All properties have exclusive use of indoor heated pool

Situated on the Norfolk Broads, these four cottages provide guests with an excellent Broadland setting. These cottages make an ideal retreat at any time of year. Wayford Bridge is a private development of 5 holiday cottages, adjoining a boatyard (owners live on site), just set off the Great Yarmouth road near to Stalham, making an excellent touring and exploring base by boat or car. For guests enjoyment a dinghy is provided with each cottage, and use of an indoor heated swimming pool and sauna (not open to public) shared between the 5 cottages. Each cottage has patio doors to the riverside patio and its own small private garden with seating furniture and private quay heading, where fishing can be enjoyed in season. Malt Shovel (ref 17429) has a balcony leading off from the living room over looking the river. Easy driving distance to the coastline, with wide sandy beaches and nature reserves. Stalham, Wroxham, Hickling and Barton Broad all within 15 minutes drive. Norwich City, 12 miles. Great Yarmouth, 16 miles. National Trust properties within 1/2 an hours drive. Shop and pub 250 yards.

Ground Floor:
Bedroom 1: With double bed, beams, low ceiling and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet.
Bedroom 2: With twin beds, beams, low ceiling and en-suite with bath and toilet.
First Floor:
Open plan living space.
Living area: With TV, DVD player, CD player and door leading to balcony.
Dining area.
Kitchen area: With electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher.

Please note: There is a passage way to the bedrooms with a very low beam.

All properties: Oil central heating (in winter), electricity, bed linen and Wi-Fi included. Electric convector heaters (in summer) by £1 coin meter (excluding 17429). Towel hire. Travel cot. Utility room with coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer (shared with other properties on-site). Private quay heading with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Indoor swimming pool and coin-operated sauna (shared with other properties on-site). Dinghy (and life jackets) included (no mooring for guests own boats). Day launch by arrangement with owner, £300per week including one tank of fuel (not available in the last week of July and all of August). Private parking. No smoking. Please note: The properties have a waterside setting.

    Beautiful peaceful retreat, home from home with comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. The hosts are very helpful, on hand when needed but are unobtrusive and respect your privacy. Free rowing boat is a bonus as is the pool and sauna. Only minus is that the only pub within walking distance is Wayford bridge inn which has very average food with higher than average prices, drinks are expensive too. We ate at Vera's coffee shop in nearby garden centre and the food there beat wayford bridge hands down on quality, quantity, choice and price, unfortunately not open later in the evenings.

    Angie & Tony were extremely pleasant & helpful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. They were always attentive & on hand when needed. We had a lovely holiday and would certainly consider returning.

    We just love staying at the Granaries. We knew we were choosing an 'upside down' house with the bedrooms downstairs and low ceilings but wanted the balcony. Probably we will go for one of the other properties next time as we all bumped our heads! We will definitely be back though. The whole holiday was just one of the best. Our welcome was again so genuine, the place was spotless and fresh. We so enjoy the boat hire facility and even though I get wet with the kayaks (because I am useless at it!) it is a wonderful way to see the river. There are so many great places to visit including our find for this year ofs' restaurant in the local Nursery. But just hanging out in Malt Shovel is also great. How Angie and Tony arranged for the baby ring necked doves to spend the week with us and then fly their nest as we left we will never know!

    This was our fourth visit, we love it and find it very relaxing the owners Mr & Mrs Urwin are very helpful and always on hand if required. Worth hiring a day boat there are some lovely places to visit.

    Perfectly located for exploring Norfolk broads and nature reserves. Pool, sauna and gym a great facility. Owners helpful and welcoming.

    We loved it! Friendly atmosphere - great pool - cottage was splendid and beautifully clean and well equipped - would go again tomorrow if I had the time
