Each lodge enjoys a private hot tub perfect for relaxing and soaking up the tranquillity of the surroundings. There are separate garden areas and great care has been taken to ensure guests enjoy privacy.
Selby Canal is nearby and fishing is available, whilst Selby Golf Club is just a short walk and visitors receive a warm welcome on the course and in the clubhouse. Set between Brayton and Gateforth, the area is ideal for walkers and cyclists with the Selby Horseshoe and Selby and York Cycle path running close by. An abundance of wildflowers, birds and butterflies can be enjoyed in the nature reserves at Barlow Common, Skipwith and Derwent Valley. RSPB experts run guided walks around Fairburn Ings, 10 miles, and events including family fun days are organised throughout the year.

I booked a 3 night stay (fri-mon) for myself and my partner at the Mallard Lodge. We where welcomed by James on site, very politely and very welcoming. James showed us around before leaving us to it explaining whete everything is, how everything worked. The lodge is located in a very peaceful area, it has all of the equipment you require for a great weekend away. The hot tub was extremely clean and nice and hot! There was plenty of room in the lodge, with 3 bed rooms, a huge bathroom and a second toilet. The kitchen was filled with all the utensials you would need including stewing pots to egg cups. The lodges are located with privacy to the hot tub.. which is big enough for 6 people with adjustable lights and jets. The stay was very peaceful and relaxing there is no road noise or disturbing sounds that ruin your peaceful weekend away. We had decided to invite 2 of our friends down to stay with us for one night.. the only down side to this was the lodge only having 1 double bed! But other than that it was great. The lodge is located in a great place with York Designer outlet just a couple miles up the road and york only being a little further - leeds is also only half an hour drive if you wanted to have a good shop around and visit difference places. The local town has plenty of shops, a tesco extra if you didn't want to travel with your shopping, plenty of restaurants and pubs. About a mile away from the lodge is a local farm shop with some great products... I would rate our stay 5 out of 5. The team on site where very welcoming and made you feel at home. The wood smell of the lodge just made it for me.. and for my partner.. definitely the hot tub!!! We will be booking again for early next year.

A lovely well maintained cottage with lots of open space for the kids to run about in. Plenty of parking space at all lodges for 2 cars. Hot tub cleaned every day. James the owner is a nice fella and really helpful. If you book this place you will not be disappointed!
