We have 2 young children (3y/o and 15m/o) and this property provided nice comfortable but also practical holiday accomodation which was a cut above other holiday rentals we've used. What made it better were the little touches, e.g. providing some basics - salt, pepper oil, vinegar, sugar and even some dried pasta and coffee/filters for the coffee machine. The owner has also provided a good array of utensils, crockery and cooking equipment rather than just the absolute bare minimum which you sometimes get with a holiday rental i.e. one saucepan with a loose handle and frying pan which lost it's non stick coating years ago (if it ever had one). The house was also furnished well with comfortable practical furniture, again unlike some holiday rentals which just have the owner's clapped out 1970's leather sofa, a 30 year old TV with terrible reception and DVD player that stops playing your child's favourite disney film half way through! These things may not be important to you if you plan to be out all day and eat out every night. But they make a difference if you happen to spend more substantive time at the property during your holiday, which you may do with young kids. The pool was clean and the garden well maintained (although the pool was a little cold when we went in May). The caretaker was friendly and helpful and the location of the property was good for walking into St Remy (20 mins) which is a lovely town/village with plenty of eating, drinking and shopping options. All in all, very nice holiday accomodation which we would happily book again.
