We stayed here for a couple of reasons, we wanted to visit the Somme region and we wanted to be somewhere fairly quiet. Our group was two adults, and 3 teenagers (under 16). The house is lovely. It has everything you could ever need! The kitchen is very well stocked with appliances and pots and pans including things you may want to use such as dishwasher, washing machine, crepe pan and somethings you may not such as pressure cooker 😀 The garden is large, we spent a lot of time in the garden messing around with swing ball that we took but there was tennis racquets and balls available in the property. There is also a bbq. Off road parking within the huge gates in the photos. The bathroom is downstairs as is the toilet which can be a little irritating in the middle of the night but it's not a huge issue. Mailly Maillet its self is very quiet (other than the road that runs though it). The tabac has closed down, there is a vets and a pharmacy, a butchers and a bakery. It's perfectly located for visiting the various war cemeteries and Theipval. Albert is charming. We also visited a couple of beaches (which were around an hour and a half away). We would return to this property
