Dating from 1674, Luntley Court (ref 13708) is a fine example of a Grade II listed half-timbered manor house. The interior has beams throughout, flagstone floor, oak panelling, 17th century oak staircases and galleried dining area. Within the grounds, there are some outbuildings which have been renovated to offer two very comfortable properties, The Granary (ref W44172) and Gable End (ref W44173) and all enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Herefordshire countryside. The 10 acres of grounds are shared between the three properties and are bordered by a stream, a dovecote dated 1673 and a lake. Each property also has its own dedicated garden area. It is a superb location for discovering the Welsh Marches, Hay-on-Wye renowned for its books and known as the book capital of the world, Ludlow popular for its food festivals and the cathedral city of Hereford, are all within 16 miles. The house was lovely and capacious. Also the garden. There were a few technical problems but they were swiftly dealt with. The area very nice and enough to do with lovely walks etc.

Fantastic quirky property with loads of room for a big group. Very helpful local caretaker. It had everything we needed for a great hen weekend in the country.

The date over the porch of Luntley Court reads : 1674 ! This house is full of history, beams & a beautiful ,spacious garden for play etc. We stayed for a weekend at the beginning of October 2017, a family of sixteen - eight adults, seven children and a baby. The house is extremely spacious - plenty of room for play, if the weather is wet . The kitchen was well-equipped in every way. The lounge was ideal for such a large party - We never felt “crowded in, even with the children present. We visited Pembridge, a picturesque village nearby, where we all parked and started our Saturday hike ! It was idyllic - so peaceful. An amazing weekend !

Really enjoyed our stay here. The property is bog so plenty of space for large groups. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of space I'm 3 fridges for our delivered food. The lounge has plenty of space. The house is impressive with lots of character and a lovely quiet location. It is a shame that the fireplaces don't work. We were surpeised and disappiinted to discover that on arrival. However, we found leaving the property by 10 or even 10.30 am very stressful with such a large party with small children. We only stayed for a weekend and there is a note on the wall insisting all washing up is put away, floors vacuumed, toilets cleaned etc. Doing all this with so many of us meant we had to be up very early and were quite stressed by the time we left (by just after 10). If they are going to insist on this level of cleaning then I don't think a midday checkout would be unreasonable - or be out by 10 30 on a Sunday morning but allow us to leave the dishwasher on and not have to vaccum (I have never been asked to do that in a rented cottage before - not having to clean is part of the joy of a holiday). For this reason alone we wouldn't stay again.
