Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

These cosy bungalows are situated in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with breathtaking views. Dean Steep comprises of twelve holiday bungalows, three of which are featured here (refs 19958, 19959 and 27891). They are beautifully located on the edge of Exmoor National Park amidst 12 acres of magnificent stunning scenery, with heather topped hills, sweeping combes, spectacular cliffs, tumbling waterfalls and rivers in deep wooded valleys where wildlife abounds. They are also close to the sea in a beautiful area of North Devon, a photographer’s paradise. With its high cliffs and hills for walking, the area has much to offer. For walkers there is the South West Coastal Path (which passes close to the picturesque twin towns of Lynton and Lynmouth) and the wonderful wilderness of Exmoor with its diverse wildlife. The Tarka Trail is ideal for cycling. Exmoor is also ideal for fishing and horse riding, or why not take a ride on the unique cliff railway from where you can enjoy the spectacular views. Horse riding centre 1 mile. Shops and pubs 2 miles.

    We enjoyed our stay in our cottage[lundy2] Good parking on site. Unfortunately the cottage smelt damp even though we had the windows open, and put onto vent while we were out. The mattress was extra firm, not good if you don't suffer with a bad back. The sofa was also uncomfortable, sitting on a cushion helped. Nice place to stay but would benefit from being updated. Good base to explore the surrounding area.
