Great place for large parties. Enough room so you aren't on top of each other etc. Very well equipped. Beautiful views and very attentive owners.

Although in a lovely location the barn needs much updating, The owner was not completely attentive or communicative and got irate at being called out. The boiler did not give sufficient hot water and the windows were very drafty. As we came for the walking hot water was a necessity. If double glazing was installed and the boiler fixed it would be near perfect

We visited for a group holiday with friends. The photos don't do the place justice - there was plenty of room for all of us and two kitchens were a bonus at dinners. The decor is dated but there is a rustic feel to the place. The only downside was there were only two showers in the whole place. We would definitely recommend.

Brilliant for a large group who want to be able to do walks straight from the door. This was us so the property was ideal. It was big and warm with plenty of hot water. Decor looks tired but we weren't there to sit in the house. We would have appreciated better lighting in the sitting room.

This was spacious house with the potential to be lovely. However it was dirty with poor kitchen equipment made worse by the dishwasher not working. The house has 4 bathrooms but only 2 have showers (one of which didnt work) which seemed inadequate for a house that sleeps 14. No hand towels were provided in the bathrooms nor was handsoap. Overall we were dissappointed with the property.

The barn was perfect for our family get-together. It has a nice spacious lounge, a dining room big enough for our party of 13 and the bedrooms were nice. There are 2 wings to the barn - 3 rooms are located at one end of the house and you have to use the other staircase to access the other 4 bedrooms. The barn was clean with a spacious garden at the back. It was a bit tricky to find as it does not say that it is the Big Barn outside. The roads in the 2-3 miles before you reach the barn are very narrow. We had a lovely time at the Big Barn and would definitely be interested in returning there in the future.

Comfortable living area although the wood burner has to stay closed and therefore does not give the open fire ambience. Plenty of plates dishes and cutlery but short on saucepans for cooking for 15 or more . Carving knives needed sharpening and we didn't have a sharpener. Found it difficult to control heating and hot water.

The barn was lovely for the number of people we had with us (9), but for any more, the bathroom facilities would not have been adequate, as the showers weren't good. There were loads of flies in several areas, and I had to buy fly spray. The owner brought some after I informed her but clearing up so many dead flies was a bit unpleasant, and I didn't want my other guests to be faced with them. Overall, the rooms were lovely and spacious, and the kitchen very well equipped. The views were gorgeous, and overall we all enjoyed the stay. Thank you

The cottage could do with a second picnic table for eating outside. The second living room seemed to be unnecessary as a TV lounge and could have been more useful as an indoor playroom with snooker/table tennis etc. It was quite difficult to regulate the temperature of the showers.

We had a great time at Lower Dinchope Big Barn. We had different numbers of people with us at different points during the week, and the different rooms in the property meant there was always somewhere the right size for us - eating in the kitchen when there was only five of us, but with a big dining room for if we needed it. We loved the garden, too, with a lovely area to sit and plenty of space for children to play safely. Two nice barbecues to use if the weather is good, too. The property had wifi, which wasn't advertised, but lacked in terms of equipment to play music. It's not a 5* property, but it has a lot of character: love the oak beams and the cozy living rooms. It's within a nice length walk (or a short drive) of some local towns for a pub if you want one, although there is no shop or pub that you can nip to on foot.

The location is marvellous - peaceful, surrounded on all sides by beautiful views, yet just a few minutes by car to the facilities at Craven Arms. It's well situated for seeing the Shropshire countryside around the Long Mynd, Stiperstones and Caer Caradoc. The property is spacious with plenty of parking. It is well equipped, apart from having to bring your own towels, which is no hardship. The décor is traditional and comfortable, although perhaps it could benefit from a little freshening up. However, this in no way detracted from the pleasure of our stay there. The garden is large and laid to lawn - perfect for children to play in. There is Wi-Fi, and mobile phone signal with some companies but not all (Vodafone works, for example, but not 02). We would happily stay in Dinchope Big Barn again if returning to this area with a large party. The owners are friendly and helpful.

We had a brilliant long weekend with family, helped by lovely warm sunny weather. Bedrooms somewhat rustic (it is a barn!) but beds comfortable and all slept well. Huge sitting-room (we had a murder mystery!), large kitchen (all appliances worked) and very useful utility room. One drawback - no showers over baths in the two en-suite bathrooms, so frustrations washing hair.
