Generally we loved staying at the Big Barn but the main difficulty we encountered was that when the children went to bed, the noise from the main lounge carried very clearly upstairs to the rooms above the lounge. The space and facilities were good and we enjoyed the garden. Good parking space. There was an unpleasant smell from the toilet in the en-suite room above lounge, only when flushed.

Great place for large parties. Enough room so you aren't on top of each other etc. Very well equipped. Beautiful views and very attentive owners.

Although in a lovely location the barn needs much updating, The owner was not completely attentive or communicative and got irate at being called out. The boiler did not give sufficient hot water and the windows were very drafty. As we came for the walking hot water was a necessity. If double glazing was installed and the boiler fixed it would be near perfect
