On the ground floor the barn has large open-plan living, dining room and kitchen space, as well as a separate sun room. The private garden boasts a hot tub; perfect for relaxing and taking in the valley views.
The area is a walker’s haven, boasting walks from the doorstep, with Glyndwr’s Way running through the grounds, and Offa’s Dyke and Monks Trod nearby. Also very popular are mountain biking, with many forestry tracks to be enjoyed, and horse riding, with a bridleway meandering through the farm. The area is rich in wildlife, and visitors can experience the red kites feeding at the Kite Centre in Rhyader. Visit the Elan Valley, which has amazing dams and stunning scenery. Within half an hour is the Royal Welsh Showground at Buith Wells, or visit Llandrindod Wells, which has golf, a swimming pool, shops, pubs and restaurants. A 4x4 off road school with a variety of track and obstacles for the novice to expert drivers is available nearby, along with clay pigeon shooting and airsoft game play. The owners are happy to arrange bookings for any of these activities on guests’ behalf (subject to availability, costs will be advised). Shop 6 miles, pub ½ mile.

Really lovely stay at the valley view barn. Lovely friendly owners who made our stay stress free and enjoyable. Amazing views! And house overall was stunning - especially the upstairs kitchen!

Enjoyed our holiday immensely, great accommodation, very helpful and friendly hosts, lovely views and great hottubs, these were felt necessary due to the location. the location although in a beautiful setting is not really suitable for walking from for the infirm or elderly, but is wonderful fot the young and fit youngsters. the younger members of our thirteen strong party were able to take part in lots of outdoor activities. In all a great break

Incredibly helpful owners. Couldn't have been more welcoming. Beautiful and well looked after house. Sadly the dishwasher in the main kitchen still broken.

Really lovely people to deal with and the dogs were great fun to play with! The cottage large, excellent and very well stocked with, well, just about everything.Views were superb and the pub in the village was very good although opening hours were a bit limited. Pretty remote, so whilst the cottage was perfect for our group (walkers) it may not be to everyone's liking. For us 'all round, superb'!

Had a fabulous weekend at the barn, went for my sister 50th birthday and there was 12 of us ranging from my parents in their 70's to you child of 3 and 2 dogs. The barn was spacious and you never felt on top of each other, the standard of accommodation was excellent and each bathroom and bedroom had everything you needed. We had wonderful meals in the big kitchen area and it was the hub of the visit. The two hot tubs were brilliant and were used everyday over the weekend that we stayed there. We even used them late at night as there were lights outside and the hot tubs had coloured lights in them so it was like a disco in a tub :0) The enclosed garden was brilliant for the dogs but you could take them on walks down the lane and into the village and back. You can get a big shop for food and drink at Aldi or Tesco which is in Llandrindod Wells about 20 mins away. It was a wonderful 50th birthday celebration weekend and would recommend it to anyone.

Amazing place to stay. We felt we were in luxury for a week. Although the weather was bad it didn't stop us having a great holiday because the barn is fantastic. 2 hot tubs were brilliant. Our 4 adults and 6 kids had the time of our lives. The owners were very nice people and made us very welcome. I would like to say it was horrible so we have more opportunity to book it instead of others but I could not say a bad word.
