Stunning ground floor barn conversion oozing quality throughout - ideal for a romantic retreat

Lovelady Shield comprises three, luxury holiday ’cottages’ situated around a delightful cobbled courtyard.
Located within the grounds of a superb Country House Hotel, 2 miles from Alston, the location is superb. Alston is often described as "in the middle of nowhere, but central for everywhere" lying high up in the north Pennine hills on the border of Cumbria, County Durham and Northumbria within easy reach of the Lake District, Hadrians Wall and the historic cities of Carlisle and Durham. All three properties are luxuriously appointed to appeal to the most discerning customers and the experience of staying here is quite unique. The hotel facilities are available to guests staying in the cottages including free Wi-Fi, a first class restaurant, bar and lovely grounds. Food may be ordered from a bistro style menu and delivered to the cottage, or you may opt to have a casserole bubbling away in the oven for your arrival. A selection of reasonably priced wines are also available for consumption in the cottage. Ultimately you will enjoy the best of both worlds, your own self catering accommodation with restaurant facilities for that special treat. The area is truly tranquil with lovely views surrounding the grounds in a beautiful countryside setting surrounded by acres of farmland with numerous public footpaths for you to enjoy away from the crowds.

Had an enjoyable week but Alston while pretty and friendly was not wheelchair accessible and quite a distance to travel to get to other places. Scenery was stunning, roads interesting!!!
