At the end of our stay we were presented with a bill by the owner of €120! We were aware of the cleaning charge of €50 but thought the charge of €70 for heating a rip off for the 2 of us!! We were unable to control the heating ourselves (although some radiators did have a thermostat others didn't and there was no overall control). We stayed at the cottage 5 days of the week (away for 2days visiting elsewhere). We were looking for a cheap week away but this added £110 to the cost!! If a set price for heating of €10 a day is to be charged then we should have been informed beforehand. Furnishings need updating but cottage itself was comfortable. Tourist info/leaflets were dated 10+ years old and some referred to franks rather than euros.

Excellent value for money cottage at the price we paid. We stayed there for 2 weeks from 20th August to 3rd September 2016, as a family of 6 with children aged 7,5,4 and 12 months. The house is plenty big enough for us all, the garden totally safe and enclosed so that even the toddler could wander about on his own. They've put in a brand new swing set with a single seat swing and a see saw type swing next to it, so all 3 of our older kids could be swinging at the same time (and therefore a reduction in arguments). There are 2 ponies in the field next door who liked being petted and fed grass by our kids. The house has French satellite TV, but no English channels, and no WiFi which if the owners were looking to improve anything these would be one of the things to look at. Also the house has just one toilet, which is downstairs. If you have a cot aged child that can sit/stand you'll need a travel cot as their cot doesn't have a lower base level. Also bring a travel stair-gate as the lounge opens onto the stairs. The highchair is OK but no harness, so I had to stay next to our little one at all times as he kept standing up in it. If you bring some reins you could use them to harness the child in safely. I also brought blackout blinds which I used front and back in the upstairs kids room. The downstairs room has blackout shutters one end and a great blackout blind the other end. Great holiday location.

The cottage was very spacious and comfortable. It was spotlessly clean and the owners were friendly, approachable and helpful. When the light bulb blew in the downstairs toilet, M. Mezenge replaced it within half an hour. We loved the remote location and the fact there was no wifi. The horses next to the garden were very nice as were the chickens over the road! The only downside was that whoever used the barbecue last hadn't cleaned it so we didn't use that. The bar in the village seemed to be open rarely and the restaurant menu was limited. The local shop was well stocked and friendly. There is a cash point opposite the shop and an unattended petrol pump as you leave the village which is handy.

Great house and great space. Owners (across the road) friendly. Some nice redecorating since our last stay. Village having some redevelopment in the square (5min walk) with an improved bar and new boulangerie on the way. Just a bit disappointed by cleaning needed when it is charged for and by mice in the kitchen. To be fair we did not report this to the owners - we just got on with sorting it out.
