The cottage is lovely and had xmas decorations added which was a nice extra touch Only fault with the cottage is the cooker needs updating, everything else was fab and Caroline who owns the cottage could not have been more helpful

A lovely warm "quirky" cottage with gently sloping floors. More kitchen equipment would be of benefit, only two very small saucepans for cooking. There aren't any clocks in the cottage. More information e.g. where to put rubbish, etc. Would be good. Very handy if you want a takeaway from Longs Arms pub and delivered to the door

We had a fantastic week at Longs Arms Cottage. Lovely picture perfect village. Cottage is bolted onto the side of the Longs Arms Pub. Easy to find and park. Upon arrival cottage was found to be clean and tidy. Staff from the pub were great and provided some basics (Milk, Bread and Butter). Cottage has open plan kitchen / living room but plenty of space. Kitchen has cooker, fridge, washing machine and dryer, so well equipped. It was also well stocked with plates, cups etc, but if you needed anything you could just ask the staff in the pub kitchen, who were very helpful. Two good sized bedrooms both with toilet and shower. Direct access to the pub beer garden which was huge and had a little play area. A bonus was that pub served great food and drink and all the locals were very chatty and friendly. Only negatives were the stairs to one of the rooms were of the spiral type and very steep and narrow. Also the showers were on the small size (I’m ‘bigger built’ and struggled to get in). Would highly recommend as a base to explore with Longleat, Avebury, Stonehenge and Bath about 30 minute drive. Thanks for a great week.

Beautiful quirky cottage. Pub food very good and staff very courteous and helpful. Downside - the cottage does not have its own garden/patio area.
