Extremely comfortable and very well equipped cottage. Well positioned for visiting the many castles, gardens, distilleries and nature reserves of North-East Scotland. The owners' hospitality and helpfulness made our stay particularly enjoyable.

We were a family of 4 adults and Longcroft cottage suited us perfectly, the kitchen was homely and had all the equipment that we are used to at home. The sitting room had a log burner and comfortable seating for us all a lovely place to spend the evening relaxing. The bathroom is on the ground floor, it has a nice deep P shaped bath with an overbath shower. Good hot water pressure made for an envigorating shower experience. Underfloor heating on the ground floor helped with the Scottish summer weather. The stairs were a little tricky so not for people with severe mobility difficulties. All 3 bedrooms were comfortable and well appointed head room on first floor was a little bit on an issue for my son but he is 6'2" tall. The outdoor space at Longcroft cottage was good, nice simple garden with picnic bench and gas BBQ . Car parking is easily adequate for 2 good sized cars. Karen was a very approachable and attentive host, there was fresh flowers in the house along with milk and bread when we arrived. And a welcome gift of free Sunday breakfast at the local garden centre. All together a lovely holiday would definitely recommend it and hope to return again to Longcroft cottage.

We had a great stay at the cottage. Karen met and welcomed us. The cottage was lovely and very clean. There was a basket of fruit, some eggs and shortbread waiting for us which was a lovely touch, as was the golden ticket for a free breakfast at a garden centre on the Sunday. The cottage is not far from a number of castles, stately homes and lochs. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it

We had a lovely week in peace and quiet. Cottage very well equipped and especially liked the wood burner of an evening. Well situated for Bennachie and a good centre for visiting Aberdeenshire and beyond

We loved our holiday at Longcroft Cottage, where we were very comfortable and extremely well looked after by the lovely owners, who live adjacent to the cottage on their farm. It was an ideal base, and we reached as far afield as Loch Ness to the west, taking in the Cairngorms en-route, up to the coastal fishing villages including Cullen to the north, and Royal Deeside to the south. Inverurie as the nearest market town met all our immediate needs, and we found a couple of good restaurants there.
