Great location, house has everything you need for a comfortable short break. We had a toddler so the one floor was perfect. Conservatory is lovely would be good in warm weather to open all the windows as 2 would only open. Rugs all need a good Hoover and under sofa (joys of a toddler they get everywhere), couple of the heaters weren't working and the mobile one put in we couldn't use as tiny fingers could get in, otherwise lovely and would return.

We stayed here six years ago when it was newly refurbed, it was excellent then , nothing has been done since, it needs a deep clean and all walls need painting and the ceilings are yellow. There never seemed enough hot water for a bath also

Enjoyed our stay in the cottage. Very cosy and warm and would stay again. All the extras were lovely. Unfortunately the only thing we had a problem with was the couch which was a bit on the low side for us........

Mixed feelings about this place, lovely location, pub with decent although overpriced food is a 2 min walk, this is a lovely cosy property, with a nice layout. We didn't get to meet the owner who had left wine, chocolates and drinks for us on arrival which was a lovely touch, bedding and towels etc were clean enough but looked grubby due to the colour, bit washed out. The biggest problem was using the front door key to get in, we had trouble on every occasion, this needs sorted ASAP, I felt the whole house could do with a lick of paint and a good clean , especially the kitchen, round the cooker hood was very greasy, and i actually Cleaned all the outside cupboard doors , Cutlery drawer and bread bin. Overall a pleasant stay but would only return if all the above negatives were addressed .

When we arrived there were gifts in every room for us, fudge in the bedroom, wine in the conservatory, iron bru and short bread in the kitchen even ice creams in the freezer. Shower gel and hand wash in the bathroom: also Fiona was on hand for any enquiry and was very helpful. We felt very welcome and at home straight away. Thanks for a beautiful holiday. Maria, Ginny and the dog

Nice weeks stay. Well presented accommodation in a lovely part of the world. Went to Glasgow for a day shopping. Lovely city! Glengoyn distillery worth a visit also. Many thanks

Had a lovely week. We stayed there a couple of years ago so knew what to expect. Only downside is beds and couch. Is not about time they were replaced. OK for the young but if you are a bit older the beds and couch are too low.

We arrived to find the cottage in an unclean state, we felt the need to wash the towels and bed linen and spend over an hour cleaning the bathroom and kitchen the next morning. We even cleaned the cooker hood where a previous guest had written an instruction of 'clean me' in the grime. I tried to contact the owner on 2 occasions but with no answer or facility to leave a voicemail I gave up. The cottage is in a fantastic location and the addition of sky with movies and sports is appreciated along with the shortbread, fudge and wine but what you really want is a nice clean fresh place to stay and the cottage really needs a good deep clean including sofa covers, which were musty to the point where we bought some blankets to cover them with. I have stayed in all manner of accommodations for business and pleasure all over the world and it saddens me that this is the first negative review I have written. It could easily have been avoided had more time been spent on making the environment more pleasant

we had a fantastic 2 weeks at the cottage. There is plenty of things to do with some fantastic views. The owner left us a beautiful card with a bottle of wine, scotch tablet on each bed and cans of irun bru what a wonderful touch.
