Lochside gave us almost everything we look for in a holiday home of this size. We were happy with the 3G signal we got at the end of the week so that we weren't completely divorced from the 21st Century. The views from the kitchen window of the birds on the loch is lovely. We were lucky enough to have breakfast on the decking a couple of times with the sunny weather. Driving down the approach road would be interesting in a car with limited suspension! The area just before Lochside is a bit of a dumping ground for the neighbouring crofter which, after a long journey made us question what we'd come to but we got used to looking so far ahead that we couldn't see it. All in all we had a great week with lots of walking from Eriksay to Berneray up hills and on beaches.

Stayed here a few years ago and fell in love with the place so much that we bought a piece of land. Lochside is the most wonderfully peaceful, get away from it all place imaginable. Loved it and will be back.

Lochside is a great place if you want to get away from it all. The cottage is cosy and comfortable for two. The local amenities are perfect if your priorities include a beautiful beach and bird life to watch. You will need a car to get food necessities as there isn’t anywhere nearby to walk to for food. Eating out requires planning if you visit out of season.

We spent a lovely week at Lochside in the first week of May. The weather was fantastic 🌞. The cabin was in a lovely setting and was perfect for my husband and I to relax. We will definitely return.
