Occupying half of a large detached house standing in 20 acres with views across to Ullapool

Lochbroom Lodge West enjoys a beautiful location in one of the most spectacular parts of the Scottish Highlands, close to the popular coastal town of Ullapool. Named after the loch that it looks down onto, it has stunning panoramic views across the loch to the hills beyond. Lochbroom Lodge West occupies half of a large detached house which stands in its own private grounds of 20 acres surrounded by mature gardens and with commanding views across to Ullapool. It has the air of a traditional hunting lodge, with high quality and very spacious accommodation for up to 7 people. The main lounge has large picture windows that maximise the lovely views. It is attractively furnished and well proportioned. The kitchen/dining room is well equipped with modern double oven and separate gas hob. The useful library room doubles as a second lounge. With comfortable seating and two computer desks, it is ideal for a quiet read or to sit and plan the next day’s excursion with the aid of the internet. There are five prettily presented bedrooms, with colour coordinated soft furnishings. With one en suite, a bathroom and a separate shower room, Lochbroom Lodge West is ideal for larger families, a combined family holiday, or for groups. The gardens are a real delight. There is a delightful patio area at the front, with picnic table and chairs set amongst the flowering shrubs and overlooking the loch with the mountains beyond. At the rear of the house there is another secluded patio for visitor’s sole use. The land at the back leads directly onto the owner’s hillside; an ideal spot to encounter their own red deer herd or watch the buzzards circling overhead. To the front of the lodge is the whole of picturesque Lochbroom. The owner’s croft land provides easy access to the shore. Visitors are welcome to enjoy a summer barbecue or picnic, or take a walk out to Rhue Lighthouse. Alternatively it is just an easy 20 minute stroll along the shoreline to the village, passing the local golf course on the way as well as anglers fishing for salmon at the mouth of the river. . Please note, Lochbroom Lodge West may be available to let with Lochbroom Lodge East, the adjoining property which accommodates up to 10 people

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage with a lovely view and plenty of room for our party of 5. The internet was amazingly fast and good which we appreciated very much as we were working during part of our stay. Our only regret is that we did not meet our hosts sooner - they were a pleasure and Murdo is quite a fine singer! Thanks for a lovely stay.
