Lochview was the perfect place to stay for our visit to the area. The cottage was very clean and contained everything we needed for our stay. I loved the garden area up behind the cottage and the soft mooing of the cows in the field was an extra surprise! We would definitely stay there again.

What an amazing Cottage, was simply a home from home. Very well equipped and plenty of special touches especially the delightful welcome pack on arrival, our dog peppa especially enjoyed the treat and ball left for her was a great welcome touch. The open plan area is great for the daytime and then in the evening you have a nice cosy lounge to chill out in. If you have an Amazon fire TV stick this works perfectly with the internet, so ideal for a bit of night time tv viewing after dark. If you are a keen walker then we would defiantly recommend the coastal walk, if you leave the cottage and go right towards Sandyhill you can then walk the coastal path from there to Rockliffe and then from there the road to Rockliffe take you back to the cottage it's roughly 8 miles but the views are amazing. There are full details of this walk in the cottage information pack along with loads of other information, also there is a basket in the front room which contains loads of things to do leaflets. Such an amazing place and we are all looking forward to going back next year. Thank you !!

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Lochview. The attractive cottage has been sensitively renovated and is bright, spacious, warm and ideal for two couples (as well as families) since it has two double bedrooms, a bathroom and a shower room. Truly dog friendly as well. The owners are helpful and left a generous welcome basket. This was our first visit to the area and we were impressed. A beautiful coastline minutes away and the interesting town of Kirkcudbright about half an hour's drive. Threave house and castle are also within easy reach, so plenty to do. A handy local store is about 100 yards across the road. Would definitely recommend.
