The open plan living area is furnished in a contemporary style and is ideal for couples and small families. There are many walks in the area from lakeside strolls and waterfalls to more challenging routes on fells such as Blencathra and Hellvelyn. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

    It was a lovely place and the location was better than we expected. It was only let down by the lack of exercise space for our Labrador who we had to rush out for a walk every morning so he could do his ablutions rather than our normal routine of letting him have a wander around our garden.

    Would prefer to keep this one a secret as I will definately be booking similar time next year. The view was amazing and the short walk with the dog to the local pub each evening to sample the beer was great. Could not fault the equipment and cleanliness of the cottage. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay.

    Spent 2 weeks over Christmas and it was a wonderful stay. We couldn’t get enough of the view of Ullswater from the living room window - even on wet or snowy days, the views were dramatic and ever-changing. The location of Loadpot is convenient for the North Lakes - it’s close to Penrith train station and shopping for essentials. Less than 10 minutes later, you’re in the flat. Only minor issue was the location of the bathroom due to the layout of the apartment unit - it’s near the entrance and going to the bathroom at night means climbing 2 flights of stairs from the bedroom. This unit is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. The kitchen is well-equipped ... we enjoyed making Christmas dinner there. Wi-fi worked well!

    We stayed on 1st September until 4th and it was lovely, the decor in the cottage was lovely but the view was something else, overlooking ullswater lake it was nice to wake up to every day, we also loved that you allow dogs as our doggy dexter definitely enjoyed the stay aswell! Plenty of walks close by and a mile down the road is a pub called Breckinrigg inn where we enjoyed a glass of wine, they also allowed dogs in! Will definitely be back!

    The Owners take these guest comments very seriously. The response on their behalf is as follows. The nature of the accommodation and prices are clearly set on Wyndham's website, which includes a description and photographs. Loadpot is inspected and rated regularly by the Agency who set a price tariff based on their wide experience and market testing. This includes variations in price for different seasons and different durations of stay. It is clear from the prices on the Agency website that the cost per night of a 3 night stay in most properties is higher than that for a 7 night stay. Similarly, the cost of a vacation during the peak summer period, in August, when the guest stayed at Loadpot, is markedly higher than for most low season holidays. Such variations apply to many holiday destinations in the UK and beyond. We would have hoped that the guest had given due thought to such factors before they booked their three night stay in August and had taken them into account when making their comments. The average 'value for money' rating of the 14 Reevoo comments before this guest was 8.5 out of 10, suggesting general satisfaction with the accommodation and charges.
