Lovely place, nice owners and helpful if we needed anything, the garden in our opinion wasn't as secure as it should have been as both our dogs could get out of the gaps in the fences, and they are both different sizes, one small breed and one giant breed. Our only other concern was that the door in the living area didn't have a key to lock it so we had to leave it unlocked permanently, apparently people who stayed before us had taken it with them and were posting it back, we weren't so bothered about people getting in, it was more about our 3 year old getting out and it was on the 2nd floor with a high up decking area, but on the whole it's a lovely place and we'd stay again if the fences were secured properly.

Llwynywynau Isaf Barn is in a simply beautiful location, with incredible views across a nature reserve towards the Cambrian mountains. As with most places in Wales, there are only small roads in the surrounding area, which simply increases journey times, something which is very easy to account for. The local town, Tregaron, has a lovely pub, the Y Talbot, and a SPAR supermarket, along with various local retailers. Aberystwyth is around a 45 minute drive away. The barn itself is absolutely lovely, with comfortable beds and good showers. The kitchen is well-fitted, although lacked oven gloves and tea towels. The rooms were all a good size, with plenty of storage space. The lounge area was amazing, with big, comfortable sofas and chairs looking out through the huge windows at the aforementioned view. The dining room table has plenty of space for ten. The pool table is a lovely addition, although some new cues might be in order. The hot tub is absolutely delightful, and also takes in the views, although it takes a while to warm up, so plan ahead! Overall, we would strongly recommend this cottage, which we felt was a truly great value find. The owners are lovely and very accommodating, and as mentioned before, the surroundings are simply incredible! Just remember your raincoats, because Wales...

We stayed there as two families with 5 children ranging from 12 to 17! On arrival, the view was described as "WOW" by all! Amazing scenery and made even better by the huge upstairs lounge window where you can sit and just watch. The barn was just as described and was fully equipped for our weeks stay. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space if needed, trampoline and play equipment outside for the youngsters. Amazing views from the hot tub over the valley. Games, jigsaws and dvds are on hand if needed and the best bit from the kids point of view was the pool table, they've all come away solid pool sharks! The property gives you the feeling of being in the middle of no-where but in reality a few miles up the road is the village of Tregaron which has great facilities. The beaches are only a 20 minute drive away in the opposite direction and we would highly recommend a visit to New Quay beach. Fab and great ice creams! The owners couldn't have been more helpful, a great source of information should you need it yet didn't intrude on our holiday at all. We would definitely recommend this cottage and we will be returning! Enjoy!

Lovely, modern barn conversion with stunning views. Very clean and well looked after, with lots of play equipment for children. Adults are catered for as well with the lovely hot tub and pool table. Really nice to find lots of games in the cupboard and very well equipped and spacious.
