Welsh Country Cottages

From a touch of luxury to characterful heritage, experience one of our truly inspiring holiday properties.

Description

This property has its own enclosed garden with a patio area where guests can relax and view the magnificent scenery.

Lying peacefully in a rural location and just a stone’s throw away from the dramatic Ceredigion coastline, this row of traditional Welsh holiday barns (refs OR3, OR4 and OR5) have been sympathetically restored to a high standard, making it a perfect touring base for couples looking for an adventure. Lluest Cottages have been tastefully decorated throughout and equipped with all the appropriate amenities for an unforgettable experience. Each cottage has its own enclosed lawn garden with a patio area where guests can sit, relax and unwind whilst watching the red kites soar over the magnificent scenery or enjoy the wildlife beyond the garden in the woodlands, fields and pond areas that are part of the property. The area itself has lots to offer, including fantastic walks along the Ceredigion coastline, famous for its horseshoe coves, Iron Age settlements and sandy beaches, where bottlenose dolphins and seals can be spotted on a clear day! The picturesque harbour towns of Newquay and Aberaeron offer unblemished beaches, restaurants, boutique shopping and art galleries that are waiting to be explored. Away from the coast, Ceredigion’s countryside is just as promising, with an array of charming market towns and historic castles dotted around the county. For an adventurous day out, take a short drive to the rugged Cambrian Mountains and explore the Cors Caron Nature Reserve, which flourishes with wildlife and the historic ruins of Strata Florida Abbey, which is one of Wales’ most important historical sites. Beach 2½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Great place to stay. Close to lovely beaches. Fabulous countryside all around. Great to sit in your own private space and listen to peace and quiet, just the birds and the sheep. Pam leaves a great welcome pack. Bread, milk, butter, cheese & Welsh cakes. Comfy bed. Great shower. Everything you could wish for. Our dog was also made very welcome with treats of his own, bowls & poo bags included. I will recommend Lluest cottages to all my friends.

We enjoyed our holiday so much we will certainly be booking the location again, we have stayed in many holiday cottages in Wales over the years, but this is the best, for Location, Quality of accommodation, and the friendliness of the owners. Mr and Mrs Baker, and their family are not only really nice people, they are true craftsmen, the quality of their work needs to be seen. They were not only welcoming, but very happy to talk to us even though they were always busy. I could live there.
