Description

A charming cottage with an open fire and a large garden bordering red squirrel woodland. Plas Newydd and beaches easily reached.

Built in the 1830s, Llety Pinc is situated near the village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll and is a delightful, single-storey detached holiday property, set in its own large lawned gardens, bordering red squirrel woodland with distant views of Snowdonia. Careful restoration has retained many original features and offers a very spacious property, with the interiors being beautifully furnished with many fine Welsh antiques, collectables and artwork. On entering the property, the large reception hall offers a luggage area and information on a wealth of attractions that Anglesey and Snowdonia has to offer. The Plas Newydd Estate (NT) is nearby, home of the Marquess of Anglesey, famous for its painting by Rex Whistler, and lovely grounds running down to the shores of the Menai Straits. A perfect location for exploring Anglesey with many opportunities for interesting days out, including rib rides and fishing trips on the Straits, stunning beaches, fabulous walking, golf, horse riding, historic Beaumaris Castle and of course, the Snowdonia National Park. Shop and pub 1 mile.

Large reception hall. Living room with open fire and garden door. Dining room. Kitchen. Utility room. Double bedroom with antique 5ft 6in bed. Twin bedroom. 2 bathrooms with roll-top bath, shower attachment, separate shower cubicle and toilet.

We have stayed in a lot of cottages and this has to be the best. The cottage was imaculate, there were sheep at the window, the owner was lovely and even left gifts for our daughter. The location was so peaceful but still so much to do in the surrounding area. I hope to go back in the future. We didn't want to leave!

We cannot fault the cottage or the welcome we received. There was literally a welcome in every room! The owners were extremely helpful and generous in their welcome. The location was easy to find and although it was on a main road, we were not aware of the passing traffic. The only downside for us, was the lack of pavements on the road so we could not walk the 1/2 mile to the entrance of the National trust property as the traffic travelling at 50 mph was a bit scary!

Perfect! The cottage was beautifully appointed and in a very convenient location. We are a family of four with two young children; the owners had provided toys and games (all handily hidden in an antique dresser!) as well as DVDs and books for all ages. The National Trust property over the road (in walking distance) has an adventure playground and the fields behind the cottage were perfect for playing. Everything was spotlessly clean. The owners are lovely (and forgiving of broken crockery!) and my daughter was thrilled when Pat made a gift of a book she had fallen in love with. We booked again the night we returned home

Have stayed in many cottages over the years but few as remarkable and impressive as Lletty Pinc. The place is an absolute treasure. So much care, attention and thought given to everything. Enjoyed it so much and were sorry to leave. The owners were a delightful couple and we cannot praise the entire experience enough. Arthur and Sandra (Mid Wales)
